Come join our growing team! The Scientist II – Analytical Chemist will support the Eurofins Discovery business in contract research services. This role requires applied experience and proven knowledge in analytical chemistry method development and analysis, with related experience in a contract research organization (CRO) or industry laboratory. Here's what you'll do: Perform work in a laboratory setting, meeting the physical job requirements of a lab role. Develop Liquid Chromatography- Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) methods for ADME/ DMPK and BioAnalysis applications Provide leadership and mentorship for junior scientists, and lab leadership through daily lab management, equipment management and lab planning. Develop analytical methods supporting project teams both internally and externally for new assay development. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of Mass Spectrometers and HPLC units. Experience with Sciex® or Thermo High Resolution/ Accurate Mass Instrumentation is a plus. Prepare and manages inventory of buffers, reagents, semi-finished and finished goods. Provide solutions to more complex problems, identifies and initiates process improvements Perform data and report QC review within the department and may support the Study Director. Support validation of new methods that contribute to expansion of service/product line, equipment, and data management systems. The ideal candidate: 5+ years of of direct/demonstrated experience with Liquid Chromatography- Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) in a contract research organization or industry laboratory in one or more of the following areas: Bioanalytical Method Development for Small and/or Large Molecules Drug Metabolism and Metabolite Identification w/ Structural Elucidation Mass Spectrometry-Based Proteomics experimental design & execution Demonstrated experience with validation of bioanalytical methods in accordance with regulatory (FDA, ICH, OECD) guidelines. Good communication and interpersonal skills Experience working in a Quality Management System Demonstrated proficiency in High-Throughput analytical method development for small molecules. Experience in leading and delivering results in R&D or innovation programs B.S. with 7 years of relevant experience M.S. with 5 years of relevant experience Ph.D. with 3 years of relevant experience Or an equivalent combination of education and experience The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
