Information about Agilent is available at www.agilent.com Agilent is seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our Product Marketing team and own the definition and development of innovative scientific instrumentation and software solutions for Raman spectroscopy . The Product Owner will represent the voice of the customer within development teams, ensuring that customer needs, market requirements, and business objectives are translated into clear product requirements and development priorities. Working closely with Product Managers, R&D, Software Engineering, Applications Scientists, and customers, the Product Owner will drive product definition activities from concept through launch readiness. The role requires a unique combination of scientific expertise, customer understanding, technical aptitude, and strong cross-functional leadership. The successful candidate will be passionate about understanding customer workflows, solving complex problems, and bringing new products to market that create meaningful customer value. Key Responsibilities Product Ownership Own product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and development backlogs. Translate customer needs and product strategy into prioritized development activities. Guide product definition decisions throughout the development lifecycle. Customer Insight and Validation Develop deep understanding of customer workflows, challenges, and unmet needs. Gather and synthesize Voice of Customer, market, and competitive insights. Validate requirements and solutions through customer engagement and feedback. Cross-Functional Leadership Serve as the primary interface between Product Management and development teams. Partner with R&D, Applications, Quality, Product Support and Commercial teams. Align stakeholders on priorities, risks, requirements, and trade-offs. Development and Strategy Participate in Agile planning and provide customer context for technical decisions. Contribute to business cases, roadmap planning, and future product concepts. Support commercialization readiness and successful product launches. Qualifications Required Bachelor or equivalent advanced degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Life Sciences, or related scientific discipline. Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry Experience working with analytical instrumentation, scientific software, or related technologies. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical and business problems. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Experience working within multidisciplinary product development teams. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager, Applications Scientist, or technical leadership role. Experience using tools such as Jira or similar backlog management systems. Familiarity with software development practices and software lifecycle processes. Experience with scientific data analysis, programming, or software tools. Understanding of systems integration, automation technologies, or connected laboratory environments. Experience building business cases and presenting product concepts to senior stakeholders. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
