DESCRIPTION: Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Purchasing to work with collaborative team that supports global supply chain operations. You'll contribute to optimizing indirect purchases process, ensuring timely deliveries, and advancing operational excellence. Working with cross-functional teams, you'll oversee purchasing and planning activities. This position offers opportunities to implement effective solutions, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. REQUIREMENTS: • Advanced Degree plus 5 years of experience in purchasing • Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field • APICS certification or equivalent supply chain credentials preferred • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, AS400, Oracle, or similar) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities • Expert level Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel; experience with Power BI • Demonstrated supplier relationship management and negotiation skills • Strong project management and process improvement capabilities • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders and vendors • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-oriented environment • Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives • Bilingual capabilities may be required, Intermediate to advance english is required. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management
