The Opportunity: Implements operational marketing communications goals, supporting brand messaging, content development processes, and audience engagement strategies. Contributes to implementing new marketing communication frameworks, campaign execution methodologies, content standards, or operational plans that will have a limited impact on the achievement of department results. Manages smaller marketing communications projects and/or processes, such as overseeing content analytics, supporting audience segmentation efforts, and refining cross-channel messaging distribution strategies. Problems and issues are typically recurring but varied, requiring the analysis of a variety of factors such as audience behavior insights, campaign performance metrics, and evolving digital communication trends. Communicates with parties within and outside of the marketing communications discipline and may have responsibilities for engaging with external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and media partners. Supports collaboration across teams to ensure brand consistency, optimize messaging workflows, and refine promotional effectiveness based on data-driven evaluations. The Copy Editor on the Creative Services team acts as the final quality check for all written content and creative assets, ensuring brand consistency, grammatical accuracy and clarity. This person is a detail-oriented individual responsible for reviewing and refining various forms of creative content to ensure all final materials are polished and error-free before release. This role involves a high degree of collaboration with writers, designers and project managers, as well as cooperation with internal and external business partners, to maintain to maintain the company's brand voice and uphold high editorial standards across multiple channels. How you will thrive and create an impact Quality assurance: Perform a final review of all creative outputs, including marketing materials, web pages, social media posts, email campaigns, presentations and other deliverables. Reviews are performed in Workfront, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Adobe and other programs as needed. Grammar and mechanics: Correct and verify spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax. Style guide enforcement: Ensure strict adherence to the company's internal style guide and brand voice, as well as external style guides (e.g., AP, American Chemical Society or Miriam-Webster), as needed. Consistency: Review all written content for consistency in dates, names, terminology, formatting and overall style. Layout review: Assess visual layouts and typography, sometimes with designers, to ensure text and design elements are correctly aligned and formatted. Feedback and collaboration: Provide clear, constructive feedback to creative team members throughout the production process. Workflow management: Manage and prioritize the workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration: Engage with Molecule writers, designers, project managers and the digital marketing team to deliver integrated creative solutions when necessary, ensuring content and design are developed holistically and aligned to project goals. Communication: Respond in Workfront, Teams and Outlook within reasonable and expected timeframes to keep projects on time. Attend weekly/regular team meetings, town halls, one-on-ones and project-specific meetings (such as kickoffs). What we're looking for A minimum of 3&#43; years of professional proofreading, copy editing or editorial experience, preferably in an in-house creative team or agency setting. Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field preferred. (Other educational backgrounds with professional editing/proofreading expertise considered.) Experience within healthcare, life sciences or biopharmaceutical industries required. Experience in an agency or corporate marketing communications environment preferred. Portfolio of work demonstrating various examples of writing and editing proficiency required. Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for catching errors that others may miss. Strong command of the English language, including grammar, spelling and punctuation. In-depth knowledge of standard style guides and the ability to learn and enforce style. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including non-Native English speakers and across time zones. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Workfront and Acrobat. Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in healthcare and life sciences communications. Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently under limited supervision. Strong knowledge of AP and/or AMA Style. Experience and interest in new technology, such as applying AI tools for problem solving and workload efficiency, is a plus. Pay Transparency: The expected pre-tax pay for this position is $62,500.00 - $100,625.00 Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
