Job Description Senior Specialist - Power Platform Developer The Opportunity Based in Hyderabad, join a global healthcare biopharma company and be part of a 130- year legacy of success backed by ethical integrity, forward momentum, and an inspiring mission to achieve new milestones in global healthcare. Be part of an organisation driven by digital technology and data-backed approaches that support a diversified portfolio of prescription medicines, vaccines, and animal health products. Drive innovation and execution excellence. Be a part of a team with passion for using data, analytics, and insights to drive decision-making, and which creates custom software, allowing us to tackle some of the world's greatest health threats. Our Technology Centers focus on creating a space where teams can come together to deliver business solutions that save and improve lives. An integral part of our company's’ IT operating model, Tech Centers are globally distributed locations where each IT division has employees to enable our digital transformation journey and drive business outcomes. These locations, in addition to the other sites, are essential to supporting our business and strategy. A focused group of leaders in each Tech Center helps to ensure we can manage and improve each location, from investing in growth, success, and well-being of our people, to making sure colleagues from each IT division feel a sense of belonging to managing critical emergencies. And together, we must leverage the strength of our team to collaborate globally to optimize connections and share best practices across the Tech Centres. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer to design, build, deploy, and maintain business applications across the Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse ecosystem — spanning low-code (Canvas/Model-Driven), pro-code (Code Apps), and custom development (plugins, PCF) . The role covers the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) — from requirements and development through security configuration, testing, and multi-environment deployment. What You Will Do Application Development Design and build Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps based on business requirements. Build Code Apps using modern web frameworks ( React / TypeScript ), integrating with the Power Platform SDK , connectors, and Dataverse while running inside the managed Power Platform environment. Develop and maintain Power Automate cloud flows (and desktop flows where relevant) for process automation and integrations. Develop custom business logic via Dataverse plugins (C#), custom workflow activities, and Power Fx formulas. Create custom components ( PCF controls ) where standard capabilities are insufficient. Data & Dataverse Design and maintain the Dataverse data model (tables, columns, relationships, keys, business rules). Write and optimize queries against Dataverse using SQL / CDS (Common Data Service) query patterns , FetchXML, and the TDS endpoint. Manage data import/export, migration, and integration with external systems. Security & Permissions Configure and administer Dataverse security — security roles, business units, teams, field-level security, and hierarchy security. Implement least-privilege access models and troubleshoot permission-related issues. Apply appropriate connector authentication and API permission handling for Code Apps. SDLC & Deployment (ALM) Manage solution lifecycle (ALM) using managed/unmanaged solutions. Handle deployments across environments (Dev → Test/QA → UAT → Prod) through the SDLC. Implement CI/CD pipelines (Power Platform Pipelines, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions) with source control for solution components and Code App source code . Manage build/deploy processes for Code Apps (npm/Node build tooling, pac code CLI), environment strategy, connection references, and environment variables. Governance & Quality Follow coding standards, documentation practices, and testing (unit/integration/UAT). Support production incidents, monitoring, and performance tuning. What should you have Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Agricultural Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience Required Skills & Experience Category Skills Power Platform (Low-Code) Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate, Power Fx Power Platform (Pro-Code) Code Apps (React/TypeScript), Power Platform SDK, Power Apps CLI (pac CLI), PCF controls Custom Code C# for plugins & custom workflow activities, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript for client-side Web Development HTML/CSS, React, TypeScript, REST/OData API consumption, Node.js/npm tooling Dataverse Data modeling, business rules, calculated/rollup columns, alternate keys Data / Query SQL, CDS/Dataverse queries, FetchXML, TDS endpoint, OData Web API Security Security roles, business units, teams, field-level & hierarchy security ALM / SDLC Managed vs unmanaged solutions, Power Platform Pipelines, Azure
