Summary of Position: Position Responsibilities Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations/supporting schedules across cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, G&A activity, and other GL accounts Perform account analyses, investigate variances, and support timely, accurate completion of monthly/quarterly close activities Prepare schedules and documentation supporting internal reporting, external reporting, audits, quarterly reviews, and SOX compliance Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information needed for accounting entries and analysis Support efforts to continuously drive cross-functional improvements, as well as create process documentation Execute special ad-hoc projects as requested to support the greater Finance team Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience CPA or equivalent is preferred Life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred Public company experience preferred NetSuite and/or SAP experience preferred Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis Exposure to SOX controls and audit support preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on open items Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members and cross-functional partners Strong Excel and computer skills required Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, well-supported work Curious, proactive, and motivated to learn and grow within a developing accounting organization
