Front-end Architect

Position Summary MediaOS is seeking a highly experienced Front-End Architect to lead the architectural vision, design, and evolution of our next-generation media and healthcare marketing technology platform. This role is responsible for defining and governing front-end architecture across multiple products, teams, and customer experiences, ensuring scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and exceptional user experience. The Front-End Architect will partner closely with Product Management, UX Design, Engineering leadership, Enterprise Architecture, and development teams to establish technical direction and standards while enabling engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions rapidly. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in modern web technologies with strong leadership, mentoring, and strategic planning capabilities. Key Responsibilities Architecture & Technical Leadership Define and own the front-end architectural strategy for the MediaOS platform. Establish standards, patterns, and best practices across applications, shared libraries, and design systems. Lead technology evaluations, architectural reviews, and modernization initiatives. Drive consistency and reuse through component-based architecture and platform engineering principles. Develop architectural roadmaps aligned with business objectives and product strategy. Serve as the front-end subject matter expert for complex technical initiatives. Platform & Engineering Excellence Design scalable, high-performance web applications supporting enterprise-scale workloads. Lead the evolution of shared UI frameworks, component libraries, and design systems. Define standards for observability, accessibility, security, performance, and maintainability. Establish governance processes for architectural decisions and technical debt management. Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines and developer experience. Champion cloud-native and micro-frontend architectural patterns where appropriate. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with UX teams to translate design systems into reusable engineering frameworks. Work closely with back-end architects to define API integration standards and front-end data strategies. Collaborate with product leaders to ensure architectural decisions support business outcomes. Participate in planning and estimation for large-scale platform initiatives. Mentoring & Leadership Mentor senior and staff engineers on architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices. Influence technical decisions across multiple development teams without direct authority. Facilitate architecture review boards and technical design discussions. Foster a culture of engineering excellence, continuous learning, and innovation. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years focused on front-end architecture and large-scale web applications. Deep expertise in modern JavaScript and TypeScript development. Extensive experience with Vue.JS and enterprise-scale front-end ecosystems. Strong understanding of state management, component architecture, and application performance optimization. Experience designing and implementing design systems and shared UI platforms. Proven experience leading technical strategy across multiple teams and products. Strong understanding of API design, integration patterns, and modern web services. Experience with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience within healthcare, life sciences, advertising technology, digital marketing, or media platforms. Experience with micro-frontends and federated architecture patterns. Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and secure development practices. Experience with GraphQL, event-driven architectures, and real-time web applications. Familiarity with Azure cloud services and modern DevOps practices. Experience leading platform modernization or digital transformation initiatives. Prior people leadership or architecture community leadership experience.
