Job Overview: This position reports to Executive Director, Medical and Scientific Communications and is part of the Medical Information (MI) Team, which manages MI activities for a specified therapeutic area(s) and provides oversight of the MI call center vendor. Essential Functions Required for Job: Provide management of Medical Information (MI) activities for a therapeutic area(s)/product(s) and oversight of the MI call center vendor. Analyze data insights to identify scientific gaps in MI resources. Oversee the staffing of MI booths at designated scientific meetings and manage related activities, including coordinating the training of booth staff. Responsible for incorporating MI-related information into the post congress debrief. Act as the Medical Affairs subject matter expert and accountable reviewer across Promotional Review Committee (PRC) and Medical Review Committee (MRC), overseeing the scientific integrity and clinical appropriateness of all promotional and medical materials related to the assigned therapeutic area(s)/product(s). Act as the subject matter expert that is responsible for providing accurate, timely, and unbiased Medical Information (MI) for assigned therapeutic area(s)/product(s). Evaluate data, and maintain an in-depth understanding of product knowledge, associated disease states, treatment guidelines, labeling, and relevant internal data. Summarize literature and clinical guidelines in developing materials and content that conveys a clear and appropriate medical message. Responsible for developing, updating and maintaining resources for use in response to unsolicited MI requests. Manage, train, and mentor the MI call center vendor on the product area assigned. Responsible for carrying out QA of call center inquiry responses to ensure appropriate, timely and consistent responses are sent to our HCPs and customers. Responsible for quality assurance of the MI vendor to ensure a high-quality standard is consistently met. Serve as an active member on cross-functional teams representing the MI function. Knowledge and Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills Organizational and planning skills, be detail-oriented Experience in scientific/medical literature identification and evaluation Familiarity with PC based applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Highly self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks in timely fashion Analytical, solutions-oriented, negotiation and strategic-thinking skills Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Minimum of a Master's Degree in Pharmacy or related science. Advanced degree in related science preferred (MD, PharmD, PhD, etc.). Healthcare professional license preferred. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry. Travel Requirements: Primarily remote role with periodic on-site meetings in office. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Mental/Physical Requirements: Fast-paced environment handling multiple demands is involved. Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment as necessary. Requires a high level of initiative and independence. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Requires ability to use a personal computer for extended periods of time. The base salary range for this role is $130,200.00 - $162,800.00 Base salary is part of our total rewards package which also includes the opportunity for merit-based salary increases, short incentive plan participation, eligibility for our 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances and leaves provided in line with your work state. Our robust time-off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays plus additional time off for a shut-down period during the last week of December, 80 hours of paid sick time upon hire and each year thereafter. Total compensation, including base salary to be offered, will depend on elements unique to each candidate, including candidate experience, skills, education and other factors permitted by law.
