The Marketing & Sales Scientific is responsible for defining and driving the strategic marketing and scientific sales support direction across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The role translates regional and global business objectives into sustainable growth strategies, effective customer engagement initiatives and successful commercialization of the Infectious Diseases portfolio. The position serves as the functional leader for Marketing and Sales Scientific activities in the region and is accountable for marketing strategy, product commercialization, key opinion leader engagement, scientific customer engagement, application excellence and business performance. The role provides leadership to the Marketing, Operations and Sales Scientific & Application function and ensures alignment between customer needs, market opportunities, clinical insights and commercial objectives. Your Tasks: Strategic Marketing & Business Planning Own and drive the strategic marketing direction for the region in alignment with regional and global business priorities. Develop and execute mid- and long-term marketing strategies that support sustainable business growth, market expansion and competitive positioning. Translate regional and global strategic priorities into local commercial plans and measurable business outcomes. Identify future market opportunities and develop strategic recommendations for business development and portfolio growth. Drive customer-centric marketing initiatives based on market insights, customer needs and competitive intelligence. Contribute to regional planning, value creation initiatives and business strategy development. Manage and optimize marketing investments and assigned resources in collaboration with commercial and finance leadership. Product Commercialization & Portfolio Leadership Lead regional commercialization and launch activities for new products and strategic portfolio initiatives. Develop customer value propositions, market positioning and go-to-market strategies. Ensure successful adoption and utilization of products through customer-focused marketing programs. Align local portfolio strategies with regional and global product objectives. Serve as the regional subject matter expert for the Infectious Diseases portfolio and provide strategic direction on product positioning and customer value communication. Lead promotional activities including congresses, symposia, exhibitions, marketing collateral, digital campaigns, public relations activities and sales enablement tools. Sales Scientific Strategy & Clinical Engagement Define and drive the regional Sales Scientific strategy in support of business objectives and portfolio growth. Build and maintain strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinical experts, professional societies and relevant healthcare stakeholders. Oversee advisory boards, scientific exchange programs and KOL engagement initiatives. Ensure effective translation of clinical evidence, market insights and customer feedback into marketing and commercialization strategies. Drive customer engagement concepts, clinical education initiatives and scientific support activities that strengthen portfolio adoption and customer retention. Provide strategic oversight of customer training concepts, workflow initiatives and application excellence programs. Support tender strategies and clinical differentiation initiatives through strong understanding of customer pathways, workflows and unmet clinical needs. Responsible for the onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing professional development of the commercial team. Leadership & Organizational Development Lead, coach and develop Marketing and Sales Scientific team, fostering a high-performance and customer-focused culture. Provide disciplinary and functional leadership for direct reports. Set clear objectives, monitor performance and ensure alignment with business priorities. Support talent development, succession planning and organizational capability building. Promote collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement across the function. Build organizational capabilities that support current and future business objectives. Business Performance & Cross-Functional Leadership Partner closely with Commercial Leadership to improve market penetration, customer engagement and business performance. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators, market performance and marketing effectiveness. Assume accountability for defined business performance indicators and functional objectives. Support pricing, profitability and commercial optimization initiatives. Provide strategic recommendations based on customer insights, market intelligence and business performance analyses. Collaborate closely with Commercial, Medical & Scientific Affairs, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Application Specialists and other functions to achieve business objectives. Represent the West Europe region within regional and global cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives. Your Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Life Sciences, Business Administration or a related field. Minimum 5 years of marketing experience within the in-vitro diagnostics industry.
