DESCRIPTION: As an EHS Specialist II at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be responsible for ensuring workplace safety, environmental compliance, and employee wellbeing. You will develop, implement and maintain comprehensive EHS programs while serving as a trusted advisor to leadership and functional managers. Working collaboratively across departments, you will contribute to our commitment to safety through proactive risk management, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. REQUIREMENTS: • Technical certification with experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience, preferably in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or laboratory environments • Desirable educational backgrounds: Occupational Health and Safety (OHS/EHS) or related fields (e.g., Engineering) • Professional EHS certifications are a plus • Solid knowledge of applicable EHS regulations, standards, and best practices (NR, eSocial, ISO) • Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions • Experience developing and delivering EHS training programs • Knowledge in industrial hygiene monitoring, hazardous materials management, and emergency response • Ability to analyze EHS data and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities • Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to work with all levels of the organization • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS management systems • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across different departments • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities • Additional language skills may be valued • Availability to conduct facility inspections
