Position Summary We have an opportunity for a Payroll and HR Coordinator (Contract) to join our team. In this role, you will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with internal policies, legislation, and collective agreements. You will also support the Human Resources function with administrative activities and serve as a key contact for employees. This position offers the chance to contribute to both payroll operations and HR initiatives in a dynamic environment. Shift: Monday -Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM or 8:30 AM-5:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch Location: Adair, ON Contract Duration: 18 months 100% Onsite The Role Verify and process confidential payroll for hourly and salaried employees within strict time frames, including data entry and maintenance of payroll, union dues, and time & attendance systems. Provide general Human Resources information and policy interpretation to employees, escalating potential issues to the manager as needed. Provide payroll back-up coverage for the Payroll Specialist for the Ontario Catalent sites. Support recruitment processes for promotions, transfers, and terminations in partnership with the Recruitment/Talent Acquisition team, and facilitate orientation and occasional training. Perform HR analytics, metrics, reporting, and data analysis. Support the claims management process for Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, including accommodation and safe & early return to work in partnership with the Health and Safety team. Review and manage benefit billing statements for processing with Finance, support deduction payments for Tax-Free Savings Account and Pension, and maintain confidentiality of Payroll and HR information. Other duties as assigned. The Candidate Minimum Requirements High School Diploma, GED/CAE.C and/or educational credential assessment (ECA) is required Minimum 1 year of work experience in a payroll or benefit administrator role. Diploma in Payroll Administration or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration is an asset. National Payroll Institute Payroll Compliance Practitioner Designation or progress towards is considered an asset. Experience and familiarity with pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and/or Good Manufacturing Practice facilities is an asset. Currently Catalent does not participate in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Candidates with non-Canadian credentials must provide an evaluation confirming the Canadian equivalency of the credentials as determined by the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC) such as WES. The employee's role frequently involves sitting and utilizing hands and fingers for tasks such as handling, feeling, and keyboard manipulation, necessitating manual dexterity. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, bend or twist, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Preferred Skills & Background Human Resources diploma and/or certificate is preferred. Experience in a Human Resources role preferred. Working knowledge of payroll software and a Human Resources Information System (preferably ADP and Workday). Demonstrated knowledge of accounting concepts. Experience working in a unionized environment and interpreting collective agreements. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Excel, Word). Compliance with Employment Standards Act and payroll legislation. Exceptional communication and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and analytical ability. Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate within the HR team. Enjoys a fast-paced, structured environment and is process-oriented. Pay The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary within this range $53,000 – $65,000, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a global employer, and this salary range does not reflect positions that work in other countries.
