The Prescription Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling prescription medicines to healthcare professionals within a defined territory. This role aims to increase product awareness, drive prescription demand, and build trusted relationships with medical stakeholders, contributing to the company’s commercial success. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Promote prescription products to general practitioners, specialists, and other healthcare professionals. Execute territory action plans to meet or exceed sales targets. Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key prescribers. Organize and participate in scientific meetings, product presentations, and promotional events. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal promotional guidelines. Report field activity and insights using CRM tools. Collaborate with marketing, medical, and sales management teams to align strategies. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably in prescription medicines. Valid driver’s license and availability to travel within the assigned territory. Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office. PREFERRED SKILLS & COMPETENCES: Excellent communication and persuasive selling skills. Strong customer orientation and relationship-building abilities. Analytical thinking and ability to identify business opportunities. Self-motivated and results-driven. Knowledge of therapeutic areas and healthcare systems. High ethical standards and compliance awareness.
