Alcon is looking for 2027 MBA Summer interns for our Commercial Leadership Development Program (CLDP) internship. This full-time internship spans 10 to 12 weeks and involves leading projects that contribute to key business initiatives across Pharma, Vision Care, and Surgical functions. Interns will be assigned to roles in marketing, commercial operations, and/or key accounts. The CLDP internship offers MBA students the chance to apply their business knowledge and varied professional experiences to make an immediate impact at Alcon. As a CLDP intern, you'll have the opportunity to work on one of the following key projects: US Vision Care Product/Brand Marketing Develop a Strategic Marketing Communications Product Launch Playbook The intern will lead the development of an end-to-end product launch communications playbook designed to strengthen launch readiness, improve cross-functional alignment, and standardize best practices across the team. This project will include stakeholder interviews, analysis of prior launch timelines and milestones, identification of key communication moments, and development of a scalable framework to support future product launches. The intern will provide strategic recommendations to improve launch execution, stakeholder engagement, and overall commercialization effectiveness. US Vision Care Key Accounts Identify Strategic Growth Opportunities Across Key Accounts and Practice Solutions The intern will leverage sales performance, e-commerce, and customer insights to identify strategic opportunities across Key Accounts and Practice Solutions that can improve USVC business performance. This project will combine quantitative analysis with practical field input to uncover growth opportunities, enhance customer engagement, and inform commercial priorities. The intern will synthesize findings into actionable recommendations that support data-driven decision-making and strengthen future account strategies. US Pharma Marketing Develop Strategic Commercialization and Brand Growth Recommendations for the U.S. Pharmaceutical Portfolio The Intern will work on initiatives for the pharmaceutical portfolio. Projects may include developing marketing strategies and programs for new product innovations, creating commercialization and go-to-market strategies, assessing market trends and competitive dynamics, and identifying opportunities to accelerate brand growth. The intern will partner with cross-functional leaders across Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Finance, Operations, and Medical Affairs to develop data-driven recommendations and actionable business plans. Throughout the summer, the intern will gain hands-on experience influencing real commercial decisions and present their recommendations to senior leadership US Pharma Operations Advance Sales Operations Strategy Through Data Analytics and Performance Insights The intern will support strategic Sales Operations initiatives by analyzing performance data, identifying operational trends, and developing insights to improve commercial effectiveness. This project may include evaluating sales processes, assessing key performance metrics, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, and developing data-driven recommendations to support business planning and field execution. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate analytics into actionable strategies and present recommendations that help drive operational excellence and stronger business outcomes. US Surgical Marketing Strengthen UNITY® VCS Customer Adoption Through Strategic Onboarding and Field Enablement As UNITY VCS adoption continues to grow, the intern will support strategic initiatives focused on accelerating customer time-to-value, improving post-install onboarding, and strengthening long-term platform utilization. This work may include analyzing adoption trends, identifying barriers to utilization, developing customer education and field enablement resources, and modernizing Pitcher as a key destination for sales and adoption tools. The intern will partner cross-functionally to develop recommendations that improve customer confidence, scale best practices, and support continued market adoption and growth. US Surgical Marketing Advance Valeda PBM Commercial Strategy Through Patient Engagement, Implementation Excellence, and OD Targeting The intern will support strategic initiatives to strengthen patient engagement, improve implementation effectiveness, and refine OD targeting strategies that drive Valeda PBM adoption and market growth. This work may include analyzing onboarding and adoption trends, identifying barriers to utilization, developing a key account implementation testimonial, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance customer value, commercial execution, and long-term business impact. Location: Internship will be located at our US headquarters in Fort Worth, TX. Over the course of the internship, you will have the opportunity to gain diverse experiences, participate in leadership meetings, receive mentoring, programming tailored to grow professionally, and network across the Commercial organization. Accelerate Your Career: Commercial Leadership Development Program (CLDP) After successful completion of a CLDP Summer internship at Alcon, interns may be considered for participation in the Commercial Leadership Development Program full-time. Commercial Leadership Development Program (CLDP) at Alcon is a key pipeline for graduate degree talent with ambition to advance into leadership positions within Alcon Commercial functions. Exceptional individuals chosen for this highly selective and challenging program engage in tailored rotational experiences towards a leadership career path. Members will engage in three, year-long rotations. Rotations will include a Commercial Foundation rotation (Commercial Operations), a Marketing rotation, and a Sales rotation. Program benefits will include Mentor Program, Functional Programming, Networking Events, Tailored Development, and Executive Presentations on key learnings and outcomes of rotations. Internship Minimum Qualifications: Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to the internship, and at least one additional semester following your internship. Must be pursuing an advanced degree, preferably MBA, in a related field. Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0 Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects) Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
