Within Abbott's Core Diagnostics division, we provide laboratories with advanced diagnostic instruments, software solutions, and services that support clinicians in delivering fast and accurate patient care. As an Informatics Technical Service Specialist , you will be responsible for implementing and supporting Abbott's laboratory informatics solutions across customer sites. Acting as a trusted technical expert, you will work closely with laboratories, hospital IT departments, and Abbott colleagues to ensure successful project delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction. You will: Lead the implementation of Abbott Core Diagnostics software solutions at customer sites. Ensure IT implementation projects are delivered in line with agreed statements of work. Configure, install and validate software applications and solutions Deliver product and application training to end users. Provide comprehensive technical support for Abbott informatics solutions. Act as a 3rd-level escalation point for complex technical issues Collaborate with Sales and Informatics colleagues to identify opportunities within existing customer accounts and support business growth. Support the preparation of Statements of Work and technical project documentation. Recommend appropriate hardware solutions and liaise with third-party IT providers when required. Build strong customer relationships and support long-term customer success. Contribute to the optimisation and continuous improvement of Abbott informatics solutions and services. Support procurement and tender processes through technical expertise and product knowledge. What You'll Bring We're looking for someone who combines strong technical capabilities with a customer-focused mindset and a passion for healthcare technology. You will ideally have: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline. Several years of experience in healthcare IT, laboratory diagnostics, software implementation, or technical customer support. Strong knowledge of IT systems, software applications, and system integration concepts. Experience working directly with customers in a technical service or implementation role. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. A service-oriented and commercially minded approach The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish. A willingness to travel frequently to customer sites. Experience within laboratory informatics, diagnostics, healthcare software, or medical technology would be highly advantageous. What Can We Offer You?
