Manager, Warehouse

You’ll partner cross-functionally with manufacturing operations and sales teams, delivering thoughtful solutions to complex challenges all while developing your knowledge of the medical device industry. Whether your work includes strategic inventory planning, labeling, warehouse management, material handling, or any of our other supply chain opportunities, you will be making a meaningful contribution to our team and to patients all over the world. The Warehouse Manager will lead all raw material warehouse operations for the Draper site, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant receipt, storage, movement, and distribution of materials that support manufacturing. This role provides leadership to warehouse supervisors and leads while driving operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and a strong culture of safety across a large team supporting product supply, sterilization preparation, and general store operations. How you'll make an impact: Manage and/or lead a small team Determine direct labor headcount to align with strategy plan Partner with team members in other sites on forecasting requirements Partner with other business groups to align on long term process improvements Determine 3-year improvement plans for assigned function in partnership with cross-functional team members (e.g., Finance, Planning) Forecast budgeting spend and hours Develop team members to increase business acumen and functional skills including driving culture changes and providing knowledge transfer team members Plan and direct assigned operational and project activities with the accountability for successful completion of assigned deliverables. Manage Lean project activities (e.g., BEx initiatives, Engineering, GTO and plant projects). Manage Quality elements for Training/Audits Lead ramp up efforts for product transfers to network plants. Lead EHS Elements Identify opportunities and lead the implementation of changes to drive process improvements including removing roadblocks as appropriate Gather/review data points for improvements into Key Metrics (e.g., Safety, Quality, Service, Cost) Drive completion ownership from key leaders Partner to determine ROI and Project Priorities Provide technical expertise on CALOSHA audits and ensure accountability of supervisors to plan (Builds – LIFR, Yields, Productivity, Safety, Compliance, Culture) Other incidental duties What you'll need (Required): Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field with related experience or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria What else we look for (Preferred): 8 years of experience Lean Six Sigma Belt Certification Experience in a highly regulated industry, medical device industry preferred Proven successful project management leadership skills Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives Extensive understanding of assigned function operations and manufacturing procedures while defining team operating standards and ensuring essential procedures are followed based on knowledge of own discipline Knowledge of financial mechanism that relates to assigned functions operations Demonstrated skill set to manage assigned team and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of tissue operations to the business Strict attention to detail Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control Edwards is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer including protected Veterans and individuals with disabilities.
