A Day in the Life The Product Development Program Manager leads complex product development programs that support the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Energy Components strategy. This role is responsible for driving program execution, advancing project management capabilities, and partnering with business leaders to prioritize and execute initiatives that align with portfolio and organizational objectives. The CRM business develops technologies that help manage heart rhythm disorders and support life-changing patient care. Within CRM, the Energy Components organization enables product development programs and strategic initiatives focused on advancing technologies, capabilities, and processes that support the CRM portfolio. This position is based in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. The role follows an onsite work model requiring a minimum of 4 days per week in the office to support cross-functional collaboration. Travel is expected to be less than 10%. Primary Responsibilities Lead cross-functional product development programs from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Product Development Process (PDP) requirements Develop, maintain, and execute integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, resource strategies, and risk mitigation plans across multiple related projects Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams to achieve program milestones, deliverables, quality objectives, and business commitments Monitor program performance, assess risks, track progress against objectives, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful execution within scope, schedule, and budget targets Establish alignment among stakeholders across Research and Development, Operations, Technology, Supply Management, Quality, and Reliability functions Plan, monitor, and control project budgets, covering human resources, component builds, supplier materials, supplier NRE, internal capital, external capital, and general expenses to achieve established return on investments Drive continuous improvement initiatives by developing and implementing program management best practices, product development processes, and functional work standards Partner with management and stakeholders to prioritize, reprioritize, and evaluate strategic project opportunities that support the CRM Energy Components portfolio Provide feedback to functional department heads during the AOP/strategic planning process Requirements: Requires a Baccalaureate degree AND minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, OR advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$138,400.00 - $207,600.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
