GCL: D1 Introduction to role: Are you ready to turn complex data into forecasts that shape decisions for life-changing medicines? As Senior Analyst - Forecasting based at Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore, you will partner closely with commercial and finance leaders to translate market signals into clear revenue, volume and patient outlooks for strategic brands and early assets across top markets. Working a 2 PM - 11 PM IST hybrid schedule, you will operate in sync with global collaborators to influence decisions at pace. You will own robust, defensible forecast models that set expectations for brand performance and inform investment, supply and access strategies. How will you bring transparency to uncertainty, illuminate risks and opportunities, and guide strategy from launch through lifecycle? Your analysis will directly support planning and prioritization that ultimately benefits patients. Accountabilities: Forecasting Excellence: Deliver timely, visible demand forecasts for key markets and leading brands, documenting assumptions, confidence levels and robustness to support decision-making. Model Development: Build and maintain product-specific short- and long-term forecast models, including patient-based models for assigned therapeutic areas, ensuring they reflect current data, information and assumptions. Insight Integration: Incorporate findings from primary research and secondary data into assumptions; run sensitivity analyses on key variables to identify risks, opportunities and ranges. Collaborator Partnership: Align forecast assumptions and analytical assessments with Marketing, Sales, Commercial Access and Pricing, Finance and Sales Operations; expertly defend methodology and outputs to cross-functional teams. New Product Introduction: Develop short- and long-term volume forecasts for new launches to foster strategic and operational planning processes. S&OP and Operations: For US forecasting, participate in the monthly S&OP process, submit volume inputs, and develop weekly, monthly and annual models and conversions. Capability Building: Advance forecasting capabilities through continuous improvement, including statistical and predictive methods, simulations/Monte Carlo, and deeper data utilization; develop new models for pipeline assets, lifecycle management and business development needs. Data and Objectivity: Select appropriate data sources and apply industry-leading approaches to ensure objectivity and adaptability, proactively using multiple tools and datasets. Integration Approach: Understand how forecasting connects with adjacent workstreams and functions to drive enterprise value. Essential Skills/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field 6+ years of direct Pharmaceutical forecasting experience with an in-depth knowledge of forecasting techniques, models and approaches Good understanding of multiple disease areas, with experience in rare diseases/ OBU including how patients move through their respective diagnosis and treatment pathways, including treatment dynamics Experience integrating insights from market studies and existing data analysis into forecast assumptions Experience using various data sources and analytics involving standard data in the Pharmaceutical industry – e.g. IQVIA (MIDAS, DDD NPA, Monthly Xponent), claims data (Truven, Marketscan), epidemiological data, etc. For US forecasting, experience with TRx / NBRx / NRx data and methodologies Strong analytical expertise; excellent Excel, financial modelling and forecasting skills Ability to build positive relationships across various partner groups including Marketing, Analytics, Operations, and Technology Validated experience in problem solving and continuous improvement Strong written and verbal communication Desirable Skills/Experience: Advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred (e.g., PhD, MBA, Masters) Knowledge and experience in sophisticated statistical forecast methodologies and applied AI / ML / automation Experience working with Power Apps, specifically PowerBI For US forecasting, validated understanding of US Market Access and gross-to-net When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we fuel bold thinking with the power to encourage life-changing medicines.
