The Position Essential Responsibilities: Operational Oversight & Site Support Assist the Site Manager in all aspects of daily operations across site locations, including office space optimization and equipment usage. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational documentation, and data-driven metric reports. Support logistics and execution for campus events and high-profile visits. Technical Compliance & Safety Ensure all building systems, facilities, and safety protocols adhere strictly to local codes and Roche Global Engineering standards. Financial & Project Management Develop, review, and estimate business cases and cost estimates for facility projects, including equipment, installation, labor, materials, and site preparation. Manage the financial and clerical lifecycle of facility expenses, conducting expense comparisons and benchmarking. Oversee payment tracking and monitoring through the Roche Accounts Payable system. Vendor Management & Performance Act as the primary liaison for external contractors to develop and execute facilities plans. Review vendor scopes of work, audit onsite contractor performance, and ensure timely completion of work orders and construction activities. Strategic Optimization & Amenity Management Provide building management services aimed at cost savings, maximizing equipment lifecycle, and optimizing facility usage. Oversee onsite management of building amenities to maintain high-quality workplace environments for employees. Maintain availability for on-call duties and emergency maintenance operations. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Education and Experience: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Experience: 3+ years of Facilities Management experience specifically within a Shared Services or multi-operational facility environment. Technical Expertise: Strong background in Security, Health, and Environment (SHE) and a high degree of proficiency in process controls, automation systems, and general control theory. Communication: Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required to collaborate across the Americas region. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrate a high-degree of analytical and problem-solving skills, with emphasis on very technical issues relating to process controls, automation systems, and general control theory. Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative approach to problem solving. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with an ability to interact well with a variety of personalities, discipline skills and educational levels. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, project management, and presentation software applications. Good organization and time utilization skills. The employee is occasionally required to walk and stoop, or kneel, crouch. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 pounds.
