We use micromachining and microfabrication processes to manufacture products that provide physicians with enhanced performance for optimal outcomes for their patients. Scientia is now part of Medtronic. The Area Sales Representative (ASR) serves within the Sales organization reporting directly to their assigned Area Sales Manager. The ASR is responsible for sales and customer support in their assigned territory. In the performance of their duties, the ASR will be responsible for meeting assigned territory sales objectives, developing relationships with physician customers and hospital personnel, and supporting the region as needed to ensure growth goals are achieved. This is a field-based position in the Mid-Atlantic and covering the surrounding area of DC, Maryland and Virginia. 75% travel is expected for this role. Primary Responsibilities: Works closely with the Area Sales Manager to identify and evaluate market opportunities, sales potential by account, and establish and achieve annual sales objectives Develops and implements sales strategies and tactics by determining the relevant factors (e.g., products, competition, and pricing needs) of existing and potential accounts to effectively promote Scientia’s products Completes a thorough analysis of the territory and identifies key target accounts, while monitoring competitive activities by gathering current marketplace information Collaborates with the Area Sales Manager on contracts, pricing, and vendor documentation requirements for hospital and institutional customers Implements and executes the launch strategies developed by the Vice President of Sales while providing product introductions and in-services for customers Maintains clinical and technical expertise through company training sessions, on-the-job training, educational workshops, professional publications, personal networks, and professional societies. Takes the initiative to expand clinical, technical, and business knowledge Prepares and submits reports to sales management by analyzing territory sales and customer data as well as sales projections. Can effectively communicate to all levels within the hospital and Scientia Leadership Complies with all company, hospital/institution, and Advised guidelines for compliance and professional conduct. Understands the business environment and relates experience and knowledge, while exercising independent judgment and decision-making Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience Proficiency using CRM tools Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical device sales, focused heavily on interventional stroke procedures Experience selling medical devices in Neurovascular space For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
