Your mission Job Description: Open Development Purchaser Job Overview The Open Development Purchaser is responsible for the end-to-end procurement activities of cosmetics products. This role focuses on supplier development & partnership establishment, negotiation, contracts, PO follow ups. The incumbent will closely cooperate with R&D, marketing, QRVi, quality and supply chain teams to ensure diversified, cost-effective and high-quality product supply, support new product launch and market sales growth, and continuously optimize the procurement system and cost structure of finished products. Job Title : Open Development Purchaser Department : Operations / Procurement Department Report To : Outsourcing Procurement Manager Work Location: Shanghai Office (Lab) in Pudong Key Responsibilities Supplier Sourcing & Management : Conduct supplier research on regional and domestic cosmetics industry. Scout, evaluate and develop qualified cosmetics manufacturers, CDMO factories, establish and maintain long-term stable partnership with selected & qualified suppliers, and regularly complete supplier qualification review, performance assessment and file management. Procurement Planning & Execution : Based on company’s product sales plan & forecast, inventory status and new product development schedule, formulate reasonable procurement plans and purchase budgets, safety stock. Participating in demand confirmation, price comparison and negotiation, purchase order issuance, delivery date tracking, and ensure on-time and quantitative delivery of cosmetics products. Negotiation & Budget Control : Analyze cost composition of cosmetic finished products, packaging and raw materials, conduct commercial negotiation with suppliers, strive for favorable procurement prices, payment terms and after-sales affairs. Manage different contracts. Strictly control procurement costs within the budget, continuously optimize cost, and improve corporate profit margins. New Product Procurement & Project Support : Cooperate with the product development team to complete the procurement of new cosmetic products, follow up sample testing, small-batch trial production and mass production procurement work. Collect new industry material, new formula and new packaging information, provide professional procurement support for new product iteration and product line upgrading. Cross-department Cooperation & Risk Management : Efficiently communicate and cooperate with supply chain, marketing, quality, finance and other departments to solve various problems in the procurement process. Identify potential supply chain risks such as supplier delivery delay, raw material & packaging price fluctuation and product compliance risks in advance and formulate preventive and response measures to ensure stable supply. Job Requirements & Qualifications 1. Educational Background Bachelor’s degree or above in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management or related majors. 2. Work Experience 6+ years of working experience in cosmetics, skincare, personal care or beauty industry; familiar with cosmetic finished product procurement & development, CDMO processing procurement and cosmetic raw material procurement business is preferred. 3. Professional Skills Familiar with domestic and foreign cosmetic industry supply chain, mainstream cosmetic manufacturers and market trends; master basic cosmetic product & ingredient knowledge, production process and product compliance standards; proficient in procurement business processes, contracts, cost and negotiation skills. Possess strong market insight, cost control awareness and data analysis ability; excellent communication, negotiation and cross-department coordination skills; rigorous and careful work attitude, strong sense of responsibility and execution ability; able to resist work pressure and adapt to occasional business trips. Have good business integrity, team spirit and long-term career stability. 4. Preferred Qualifications Familiar with cosmetic regulatory compliance standards (NMPA, cosmetic filing, safety certification, etc.) Familiar with cosmetic quality & technical specifications Experience in cross-border procurement or international cosmetics purchasing business Good English.
