A Day in the Life The Global Commercial Office (GCO) supports Medtronic businesses through scalable commercial capabilities that expand customer reach, accelerate growth, and strengthen customer engagement. This position supports the Respiratory Interventions airway portfolio, partnering with small acute care hospitals across an assigned territory to provide solutions including tracheostomy tubes, endotracheal tubes, breathing filters, closed suction systems, and related airway management products. This is a remote position supporting customers throughout the Eastern United States. Candidates may reside anywhere within the United States provided they can consistently work an 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time schedule. Success in this role requires a highly independent work style, strong self-motivation, and the ability to effectively manage a large customer base through virtual engagement. Travel is expected up to 10% for meetings, training, and customer relationship activities. The Senior Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth within an assigned territory through virtual customer engagement, prospecting, lead generation, and account management activities. This role develops territory plans using customer and sales data, manages existing accounts, identifies new business opportunities, and collaborates with field sales and cross-functional partners to increase adoption of Medtronic respiratory and airway management products. The successful candidate is energized by outbound selling activities, comfortable working independently in a remote environment, and motivated to achieve sales objectives through high levels of customer engagement. Primary Responsibilities Prospect, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through outbound calling, lead generation, and targeted sales campaigns. Drive territory sales performance and achieve or exceed assigned sales objectives through virtual customer engagement and account management activities. Analyze customer, territory, and sales performance data to prioritize opportunities, develop account plans, and guide selling activities. Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, maintaining regular contact to strengthen relationships, increase product utilization, and identify growth opportunities. Educate customers on product features, clinical applications, and value propositions while supporting product adoption and utilization initiatives. Collaborate with field sales representatives and cross-functional partners to coordinate customer activities, support business objectives, and facilitate product evaluations or demonstrations. Negotiate and close sales opportunities while addressing customer questions, concerns, and barriers to adoption. Provide market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights to support commercial strategy and business planning. Required Qualifications High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8+ years of relevant sales, customer support, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences; OR Associate's Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing competing priorities and customer needs. Preferred Qualifications Experience in an inside sales, virtual sales, remote sales, business development, or quota-carrying sales role. Experience with prospecting, lead generation, cold calling, or other outbound sales activities. Experience utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) systems and sales performance data to manage customer engagement and pipeline activities. Medical device, healthcare, respiratory care, or acute care hospital sales experience. Demonstrated success using analytics, sales reporting, and market data to develop territory plans and drive revenue growth. Experience partnering with field sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders to execute customer engagement strategies. Clinical background, healthcare certification, or experience supporting products used in acute care environments. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Remotely sells Medtronic's products and retains end-user patients within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts for pre-defined territory locations to achieve or exceed assigned sales goals. Identify, develop and close leads for the business and refer on internal leads when appropriate. Provides input on new markets, new product introductions, and existing products or supplies. Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services. Manages and responds to customer concerns and problems. Arranges demonstration of products by field sales representatives. Assists the field sales representatives in the planning and execution of sales activities as well as providing on-going sales support including sales calls, data analysis, customer opportunities, and sales rep follow-up. #LI-MDT For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
