Research Associate II, Upstream Antibody Discovery Job Description We seek a Research Associate to support in vivo antibody discovery using ourhigh-throughput hybridoma process. In this lab-based role, attention to detail, strongdocumentation and communication skills, and working independently and in group settingswill be critical for success. You will work directly with the Upstream Antibody Discovery team onvarious projects to produce and scale hybridoma cell lines while supportingthe recombinant expression of antibodies and antigens. What You’ll Be Doing● Hybridoma generation, culture, scale-up, cryopreservation, and antibody production● Mammalian cell culture● Transient transfections in mammalian cells to support recombinant expression ofantibodies and antigens at a range of scales● Media and buffer preparation● Management of antibody discovery project timelines and deliverables● Cross-functional coordination of workflows within the lab and with project managers● Troubleshooting and continuous process improvement What You’ll Bring to the Team● Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline required● Prior laboratory experience is strongly preferred, with priority toward experience in anindustry setting● Mammalian cell culture experience with excellent aseptic technique● Knowledge of antibody discovery processes a plus, with a preference towardunderstanding hybridoma-based workflows● Ability to troubleshoot scientific processes● Excellent written and verbal communication skills● Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment About Twist Bioscience Twist Bioscience synthesizes genes from scratch, known as “writing” DNA. The base cash compensation for this Massachusetts-based role is below. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for bonus, equity, and a generous benefits package. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location and may vary from the amount listed above. Compensation may be different in other locations.Massachusetts Pay Range$75,000—$95,000 USD
