Your Role: As a Field Service Engineer, you will respond to internal and external customer needs by performing repair, installation, upgrades, and preventive maintenance on Tissue Diagnostics IVD instruments and systems. These devices incorporate electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hardware, software, and systems components. Key responsibilities include: Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Tissue Diagnostics IVD instrumentation. Respond to customer service requests in a timely manner and efficiently schedule service activities. Communicate effectively with customers, management, and sales teams to ensure expectations are understood and met. Maintain Agilent's reputation for exceptional customer service by adhering to company policies and procedures. Complete administrative documentation, service reports, and required paperwork accurately and on time. Provide feedback to Product Specialists, Manufacturing, and OEM vendors regarding product performance issues and anomalies. Utilize the complaint handling system as required. Accurately document time, expenses, and service activities in SAP and other reporting systems. Proactively communicate with customers before, during, and after service events. Support continuous improvement initiatives and share technical knowledge when appropriate. Travel Requirements 90% to 100% travel required. Field-based role requiring customer visits 4 to 5 days per week. Average of 2 to 3 overnight stays per week. Must be comfortable operating as a "road warrior" in a highly customer-facing environment. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, military experience, and relevant work experience will also be considered. Experience Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following: Biomedical equipment servicing Electro-mechanical systems In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) instrumentation Medical devices Related technical service environments Required Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent listening skills and ability to effectively share information with customers and colleagues. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities. Knowledge of electronics, fluidics, pneumatics, and electromechanical systems. Experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of medical devices. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Sound judgment regarding issue escalation and decision-making. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Adaptability and flexibility in a changing environment. Ability to remain professional, calm, and solution-oriented in challenging customer situations. Collaborative team player willing to support colleagues as business needs require. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of IT networking concepts, including: IP addressing Windows Server environments Network connectivity Firewalls Experience connecting equipment to customer networks.
