FSP Clinical Scientist III / Medical Science Liaison – US Remote based Fortrea is hiring a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – FSP to provide ongoing in-depth analysis and scientific input into development and execution of protocols and clinical development plans by working with the medical/scientific/regulatory team to creatively solve a wide range of medical/scientific/clinical/regulatory problems. Key / Core Responsibilities You will serve as a resource for the Medical Monitor by tracking and reviewing ongoing study specific safety data (e.g., adverse events, vitals, ECGs, and safety lab results) to identify safety trends. You will act as a liaison between the Medical Monitor in all communications between study sites, Fortrea project staff and Sponsors regarding protocol or other study-related questions, including documenting, tracking, and follow-up on all issues. You will review and evaluate CPS proposals and provide clinical and scientific support, as needed. This includes drafting study outlines/designs and providing guidance on early clinical development strategies. You will provide ongoing in-depth analysis and scientific input into development and execution of protocols and clinical development plans. You will work with the medical/scientific/regulatory team to creatively solve a wide range of medical/scientific/clinical/regulatory problems. You will establish and maintain close affiliations with the Fortrea and larger scientific community. You will provide scientific and logistical rationale/input for including biomarkers or other lab markers in Proof-of-Concept (POC) studies. You will attend Kick-off Meetings and SIVs/Investigator Meetings. Supports training in key medical/scientific areas. You will attend Team Meetings. Ensure that any medical/safety issues discussed at the meeting are resolved by the medical monitor in a timely manner. You will support CPS Medical Monitors in tracking and documenting any Inclusion/Exclusion criteria or protocol-related questions and answers. And perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree required Prior hands-on experience as licensed physician (MD) in clinical practice (Preferred) 2+ years prior hands-on experience as a licensed physician in clinical practice TA-specific experience in Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) is required Progressive responsibility within CRO or Sponsor environment Knowledge of GCPs and regulatory agency guidelines. Ability to conduct limited review of related literature and references to obtain the required information and subsequently apply it. Skilled in data interpretation. Speaking/Writing/Reading: English Minimum 10+ years pharmaceutical and clinical research experience, including at least 5+ years in a medical monitoring/medical data review role Heavy travel required throughout the year for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The company does not provide visa sponsorship now or in the future for this position.
