About the opportunity At QIAGEN, our mission is to make improvements in life possible. As a Working Student in System Development within our Research & Development organization, you support the development and optimization of systems, tools, and workflows that contribute to innovative molecular diagnostic and life science solutions. Working closely with interdisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and software specialists, you gain valuable insights into the development processes behind cutting-edge technologies while applying your academic knowledge in a highly innovative environment. Your tasks include Supporting the development and optimization of R&D systems, tools, and digital workflows Assisting in analyzing scientific and technical requirements for system improvements Contributing to the testing and validation of software applications and system functionalities Supporting the collection, evaluation, and visualization of experimental and system-related data Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams across Research & Development projects Participating in documenting development activities, processes, and technical specifications Researching and evaluating new technologies and approaches to support innovation initiatives Your profile Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science for Life Sciences, Systems Engineering, Data Science, Molecular Biology with a computational focus, or a related discipline Demonstrating an interest in the intersection of life sciences, digital technologies, and system development Possessing first experience with data analysis, scientific software, programming, or automation tools through academic projects or practical experience Showing strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving Communicating effectively in English, both written and spoken Working independently while thriving in collaborative and international environments Demonstrating curiosity, initiative, and enthusiasm for innovation in healthcare and life sciences What we offer Bonus/Commission Local benefits Referral Program Volunteer Day Internal Academy ( QIALearn ) Employee Assistance Program Hybrid work (conditional to your role) Our people are the heartbeat of everything we do.
