Job description

Innovation starts from the heart. At Edwards Lifesciences, we're dedicated to developing ground-breaking technologies with a genuine impact on patients' lives. At the core of this commitment is our investment in cutting-edge information technology. This supports our innovation and collaboration on a global scale, enabling our diverse teams to optimize both efficiency and success. As part of our IT team, your expertise and commitment will help facilitate our patient-focused mission by developing and enhancing technological solutions. The Anaplan Center of Excellence ( CoE ) owns a portfolio of 50+ connected planning applications used across Finance, Commercial, and Operations. As Sr. Project Manager, you will orchestrate the delivery of new applications and the continuous enhancement of the existing portfolio, working with a globally distributed team of developers and administrators and with business partners across multiple functions and time zones. How you'll make an impact: Orchestrate a portfolio of concurrent Anaplan initiatives – new application builds and enhancement/update releases – across multiple use case families (e.g., financial planning & analysis, commercial and sales planning, operational planning), balancing priorities, dependencies, and shared resources across 50+ applications. Lead end-to-end delivery: intake and business case, detailed requirements definition, scoping, planning, build coordination, testing/UAT, deployment, and hypercare , using a hybrid delivery methodology (Agile sprints for build, stage-gate/Waterfall controls for planning and release). Coordinate day-to-day delivery of a distributed CoE team – 8–11 Anaplan developers in Pune and administrator resources in Prague and the US – without direct people-management responsibility: plan sprints and releases, remove blockers, manage capacity and sequencing across projects. Partner with the enterprise data team on data integration requirements, source availability, and interface timelines; align delivery plans with data pipeline readiness. Build and maintain strong relationships with finance partners, commercial stakeholders, and other business functions; manage expectations, translate business priorities into a realistic delivery roadmap, and communicate status, risks, and trade-offs transparently. Maintain the CoE delivery roadmap and release calendar; manage changes to scope, schedule, and cost so plans remain accurate and reflect authorized changes. Actively manage project risks and issues; monitor performance, identify and quantify variances, and drive corrective actions. Facilitate creation and approval of business cases and prioritization decisions, using historical data and expert judgment to understand constraints. Strengthen CoE delivery governance: standardize intake, estimation, status reporting, and release management practices; lead continuous improvement of PM processes within the CoE . Manage project closure activities, including lessons learned, and drive resulting improvements into future releases. Serve as a project management subject matter expert within the CoE ; guide and mentor team members on delivery practices. Other incidental duties. What you'll need (Required): Bachelor's Degree in a related field. A minimum of eight years of hands-on experience managing software delivery projects of increasing complexity, or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria. Project Management Professional (PMP); if not, Green Belt, Black Belt, or Scrum Master certification. Demonstrated experience managing delivery with globally distributed teams and cross-functional business stakeholders. Experience running hybrid delivery models (Agile/Scrum combined with Waterfall/stage-gate governance). This role is not a remote position. It requires onsite presence at the Edwards IT Innovation Hub in Pune, India, working second shift with overlap to European (CET) and partial US working hours. What else we look for (Preferred): Experience delivering Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) / connected planning implementations on any platform (e.g., Anaplan, Oracle Hyperion/EPM Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud/BPC, OneStream, Workday Adaptive Planning, Pigment). Understanding of planning processes in finance (budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning) and/or commercial functions (sales forecasting, quota and territory planning). Experience working alongside data engineering teams on integrations (ETL/ELT, APIs, data hubs). Demonstrated experience with SDLC project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, DevOps) and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet). Proven expertise in MS Office Suite and related project management systems. Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and relationship management, with the ability to drive achievement of objectives . Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Excellent understanding of and work experience with project budgets and financial management . <s
