A Day in the Life CRM (Cardiac Rhythm Management) is where it all started in Medtronic. We are designing, producing, selling and servicing implants and technologies for cardiac rhythm disorders as well as heart failure. Examples are implantable monitors/loop recorders, pacemakers, cardiac defibrillators, and telecardiology equipment. Two teams are working closely together to promote CRM products: The Account Manager Team and the Technical Consultant Team. Both work in close collaboration to serve our customers and drive sales, including fixed assets and consignment stock management in hospitals. According to daily planning, the Technical Consultant (TC) provides field support during implantation, follow up and troubleshooting of CRM devices, serving doctors and patients to optimize treatment. The TC develops in-depth knowledge of our available and upcoming technology and will also organize product presentations to train colleagues, and hospital personnel to promote field product knowledge. As a Technical Consultant within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) unit you maintain and develop business with all customers in Antwerp, Limburg and Flemish Brabant. In the field of Relationship Management, it will be your task to build strong and lasting relationships with cardiologists and other hospital staff. We expect you to be the clinical/technical go-to person for Medtronic CRM products and drive Medtronic’s product loyalty by demonstrating the value of our solutions to hospitals. You will be reporting to the Technical Consultant Manager and are expected to travel regularly. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Daily collaboration with Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) field team (Account Managers, Clinical Specialists, CRM Marketing, etc.) following the agreed strategy. Providing daily technical support on implantable products and technologies, according to predefined planning, fixed assets and hospital inventory management. Troubleshooting and problem-solving CRM clinical cases and device behavior, both in and outside operation rooms. Work together with the accounts managers on discovering and driving commercial opportunities. Continuous training to keep product knowledge up to date and introduction of new products. Defining and fulfilling the training needs of customers, developing and deliver educational pathways. Showing interest in patient and physician’s needs to propose Medtronic solutions. Collaborate with Sales Representatives and Business Ops. on inventory management. Required Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in biomedical engineering or technical nursing. Min. 3 years experience in a similar role, ideally in MedTech or cardiology. Fluent in Dutch and English (written and oral). Fluency in French is considered a plus. Developed interpersonal relationship-building skills and teaching skills. Ability to grasp complex/detailed product knowledge and to be able to communicate this information to customers and patients. Flexible hours are provided and required, and domestic travel up to 90%.
