For more details, please visit https://www.piramalcriticalcare.com/global/ Job Title Maintenance Technician Job Description Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, process equipment, utilities equipment, facility structures, motors, electrical components, instrumentation, and piping systems within the plant. The role supports safe and reliable plant operations while ensuring compliance with safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Essential Duties and Responsibilities Employ and promote safe work practices in compliance with OSHA and company policies Identify hazards and ensure protection of employees and facility while installing, maintaining, or repairing systems Follow all health and safety guidelines established by the maintenance department Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as required by law and company policy Perform basic electrical, motor, and instrumentation troubleshooting and repairs Visually inspect and test machinery and process equipment Disassemble pumps, agitators, gearboxes, heat exchangers, and large process equipment to install or repair parts and maintain functionality Disassemble valves, gauges, and other process subassemblies to install new or repaired components Operate forklift, man lift, and assorted hand tools including grinders, drill motors, power hack and band saws, pipe threaders, and torches to fabricate or repair plant components Use diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot agitators, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment to detect malfunctions or potential failures Discuss machine operations with supervisors and maintenance staff to develop maintenance and repair plans Layout, measure, cut, bend, thread, solder, and install piping systems Clean, lubricate, and replace shafts, bearings, gears, mechanical seals, and other machine components Read, interpret, and execute procedures related to calibration checks and equipment adjustments including weigh scales, flow meters, and instruments Repair and adjust mechanical packaging equipment in a clean room environment Assist the packaging department with routine mechanical packaging equipment conversions Possess knowledge of rigging techniques for equipment removal or installation Demonstrate knowledge of chiller, boiler, and air compressor operations Read and interpret engineering drawings and layout equipment according to drawings Perform additional duties as required by the Engineering Manager or Maintenance Supervisor Key Competencies (knowledge, skills, and abilities every person must possess to be successful) Critical Thinking: Ability to use logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions and approaches to problems Strong customer service orientation with professional interaction with internal and external stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication skills Creative problem-solving abilities and the capability to present alternative solutions Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated work approach Ability to maintain confidentiality Coaching and mentoring skills Education/Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum 5 years of experience in a technician role Mechanical and electrical background required Apprenticeship program or technical school training preferred Ability to estimate labor hours, materials, and skills required to complete maintenance tasks Ability to visualize and communicate execution of work Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professi
