Job description

At Bristol Myers Squibb, our employees often ask, “Who are you working for?”—a question that fuels collaboration, accountability, and urgency in our work. Our purpose-driven culture inspires us to discover, develop, and deliver innovative medicines to prevail over serious diseases. We offer uniquely interesting and meaningful work, opportunities for growth, and a supportive environment that values inclusion, wellbeing, flexibility, and comprehensive benefits. This is work that transforms the lives of patients, and the careers of those who do it. Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) is seeking a high-caliber, early-career professional for the position of Executive Operations & AI Enablement Analyst, within Commercial & Corporate Functions & Services (CFS) Procurement. The role serves as a strategic enabler and force multiplier to the Vice President of Commercial & CFS Procurement, blending executive support, project coordination, leadership-team enablement, and hands-on digital and AI tooling into a single, integrated position. As the Executive Operations Analyst, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy and direct exposure to executive decision-making. This is a talent-accelerator role offering direct exposure to executive leadership, enterprise-level strategy, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional execution, combined with a mandate to build with AI at the leading edge of how work gets done. You will own the VP’s calendar end-to-end — issuing meeting invitations on the VP’s behalf, negotiating scheduling directly with internal senior leaders and external supplier executives, and orchestrating scheduling campaigns spanning the US, Europe, and Asia. You will produce daily and weekly executive intelligence products (day summaries and an interactive leadership dashboard) that keep the VP and Leadership Team focused on the highest-value priorities, and you will actively build and deploy AI and digital solutions — from automated reporting to working prototypes of business tools — that raise the productivity of the entire organization. Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Executive Time & Operating Rhythm Own and autonomously orchestrate the VP’s calendar end-to-end: scheduling, sequencing, and prioritization of meetings, including sending invitations directly from the VP’s calendar. Anticipate conflicts, proactively flag trade-offs with options and a recommendation, and resolve scheduling constraints across global time zones. Coordinate scheduling directly with external counterparties — strategic suppliers, banking and supply-chain-finance partners, and consulting firms — with professionalism and discretion. Execute large-scale scheduling campaigns (e.g., organizing 75+ one-off 1:1s across an extended global team; standing 1:1 cadences with direct reports), tracking completion and escalating only genuine decision points. Produce a daily executive day summary for the VP: a synthesis of the day’s meetings, preparation needs, pinch points, and priorities. Meeting Effectiveness & Follow-Through Prepare agendas, pre-reads, executive briefs, and synthesis materials for leadership meetings and key forums. Capture meeting minutes, decisions, action items, and owners; drive closed-loop follow-up so commitments are executed. Proactively chase inputs, send reminders (e.g., logistics, registrations, travel bookings), unblock progress, and maintain execution momentum. Draft professional communications on behalf of the VP with sound judgment and discretion. Executive Reporting & Leadership Dashboards Build, maintain, and publish a weekly interactive executive dashboard consolidating leadership updates, initiative status, and key metrics for the VP and Leadership Team. Consolidate inputs from across Commercial & CFS Procurement into clear, executive-level status reporting. Continuously improve reporting products based on leadership feedback, iterating week over week. Project & Leadership Team Coordination Coordinate and track strategic and operational initiatives across Commercial & CFS Procurement, maintaining action plans, milestones, and dependencies across the VP’s Leadership Team. Support planning and orchestration of leadership meetings, working sessions (e.g., procurement/budget process-improvement sessions), category strategy reviews, and executive development programs. Support leadership transitions and onboarding (e.g., establishing meeting cadences and introductions for incoming senior leaders). Coordinate follow-ups with suppliers and internal teams on behalf of the VP (e.g., payment-terms status requests, negotiation working-session logistics). Technology, Data & AI Enablement Actively build with AI: configure and operate agentic AI tools (AI coding assistants, agent skills, browser automation) to automate recurring executive workflows such as day summaries, dashboard generation, and scheduling support. Rapidly prototype lightweight digital tools for business problems (e.g., a guided data-intake console built on real procurement PO-level data to reduce reporting errors), and pressure-test concepts with business owners before wider build-out. Share AI configurations, skills, and best practices with the VP and the wider team to accelerate organizational AI adoption and productivity. Build and maintain trackers, templates, and dashboards (Excel, PowerPoint, HTML/low-code tools); continuously identify opportunities to simplify and optimize workflows. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Minimum education of a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, analytics, economics, supply chain, or a related field is required. Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience; strong maturity, curiosity, and learning agility is required. Demonstrated analytical ability and problem-solving skills through academic, professional, or experiential achievement. Demonstrated AI and digital fluency, with evidence of having built or automated something real (e.g., automation, scripting, low-code or web prototyping). Ability to synthesize complex information into executive-ready insights. Experience supporting executives, coordinating projects, or working in procurement, supply chain, finance, or strategy/operations environments preferred. #LI-Hybrid We hire for skills and capabilities, not just credentials – if this role excites you, but doesn’t perfectly match your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway. <p style="text-align:le
