Bicycle Therapeutics is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company developing a novel class of medicines, referred to as Bicycle® molecules, for diseases that are underserved by existing therapeutics. Bicycle molecules are fully synthetic short peptides constrained with small molecule scaffolds to form two loops that stabilize their structural geometry. This constraint facilitates target binding with high affinity and selectivity, making Bicycle® molecules attractive candidates for drug development. The company is evaluating nuzafatide pevedotin (formerly BT5528), a Bicycle® Drug Conjugate (BDC®) targeting EphA2, a historically undruggable target; a pipeline of Bicycle® Radioconjugates (BRCs) and imaging agents;; zelenectide pevedotin (formerly BT8009), a BDC® targeting Nectin-4, a well-validated tumor antigen; and, through various partnerships, the use of Bicycle® technology to develop therapies to treat diseases in a range of therapeutic areas. Given the collaborative and operational nature of this role, daily onsite presence is required to work closely with our teams, access our cutting-edge resources, and drive our science and operations forward. As our Corporate IT team across the UK & US has evolved, we have created an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Systems Analyst to join our UK team at Granta Park near Cambridge. This position will report to our Associate Director, IT Operations & Cyber Security and will be instrumental in supporting and advancing the IT systems throughout the organisation. Your mission will be to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure, from user endpoints to our core server environment. You will be a key driver in maintaining our high standards of IT service, strengthening our cybersecurity posture, and delivering robust solutions that empower our scientific and operational teams across the UK and US. Your responsibilities include (but not limited to): Frontline & Escalation Support : Act as a primary point of contact for IT support for UK colleagues and provide expert remote support globally, managing the helpdesk to ensure timely resolution of 1st and 2nd line tickets and appropriate escalation to maintain user satisfaction. User & Systems Administration : Manage the full employee IT lifecycle, including hardware/software setup for new joiners and secure off-boarding. Administer and troubleshoot critical server environments (Windows/Linux), virtualisation platforms (Hyper-V), and networking equipment to maintain a 99.9% uptime. Security & Operational Excellence : Collaborate with IT leadership to advance our cybersecurity posture by implementing and managing security tools (e.g., Darktrace, Mimecast), supporting enterprise security and disaster recovery drills, and diligently documenting all systems and processes to create a robust knowledge base. Continuous Improvement & Project Delivery : Proactively identify opportunities to streamline, upgrade, and integrate IT systems. Lead and contribute to IT project work, from scoping to delivery, ensuring solutions are implemented on time and within budget to meet corporate goals and empower scientific R&D. Skills, experience and competencies Knowledge Core Expertise:  You apply strong expertise in IT systems administration to independently manage work, connecting your technical knowledge of platforms like Microsoft 365 administration (Office 365, SharePoint, Teams), Active Directory, and Azure AD / Entra ID (including Single Sign-On / SSO). Some experience with Linux/Unix systems and administration, alongside PowerShell scripting skills will be helpful. Experience with help desk / ticket systems and diligent documentation practices is key. Data / Insight:  You design and execute analyses of system performance and security data, integrating multiple sources (e.g., monitoring tools, helpdesk metrics) to generate actionable insights and recommend practical improvements to our IT environment.  A security-focused mindset with experience working with modern security vendors, operations, and enterprise-grade security platforms Influence & Collaboration:  You interpret and communicate technical information to diverse scientific and operational teams, building relationships across the organization to influence discussions, promote IT best practices, and achieve project goals. Job Complexity Task / Project Delivery:  You work independently on IT projects of moderate scope, such as system upgrades or new platform rollouts, requiring analysis of technical requirements, user impact, and established practices to contribute effectively to team and project objectives. Problem-Solving:  You analyze and resolve IT problems by evaluating system logs, user-reported issues, and relevant precedents. You are adept at adapting existing methods to develop effective solutions within our established security and operational policies. Strategic Impact:  Your decisions may directly influence the execution of IT projects and affect departmental outcomes. You contribute to the planning and delivery of work that is aligned with our operational goals and cybersecurity strategy.
