 Job Description Overview The Finance Manager at Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) plays a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to support business objectives. This position will be responsible for managing financial planning, analysis, and control activities within a specific business unit or function. Responsibilities Assist the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans. Provide financial business partnering to functional leaders, offering insights and recommendations to drive performance and achieve financial targets. Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and company policies. Conduct variance analysis, identifying key drivers and proposing corrective actions. Oversee and optimize financial processes, systems, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and compliance. Support strategic initiatives, including business case development, M&A due diligence, and integration activities. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements. Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles or finance roles only including experience communicating complex financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Proficient Excel skills, and financial modeling experience Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications MBA or CPA Experience using SAP, Hyperion, and/or Power BI Experience in a product vs. service industry strongly preferred Medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry experience At BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
