Job Description Summary We’re part of the Social Impact & Sustainability team of dedicated and passionate people united by a drive to improve health outcomes. The Director, SI&S Community Impact & Patient Reach helps Novartis expand reach and improve health outcomes for underrepresented populations. The role develops data-driven strategies, measurement approaches, and scalable solutions that identify barriers, generate actionable insights, and drive sustainable impact through collaboration across functions, community organizations, coalitions, and external partners. This role is required to be in our East Hanover office 3x/week - #Hybrid. Key responsibilities: Lead the development of scalable strategies and models that expand reach and improve outcomes for underrepresented populations. Leverage data, evidence, and community insights to identify barriers affecting underrepresented populations, inform strategy, measure impact, and drive continuous learning and improvement. Build enterprise capabilities, tools, and best practices that enable consistent implementation and scale of community impact initiatives. Foster collaboration across functions, community organizations, coalitions, and external partners to advance solutions for underrepresented populations. Translate insights into actionable strategies and implementation plans that drive measurable impact for underrepresented populations and communities. Essential Criteria: Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business, Health Policy, Social Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in public health, social impact, community health, pharmaceuticals, health equity, or related fields. Deep understanding of health disparities, social determinants of health, patient journey and barriers that prevent under-represented patients from accessing and benefiting from care. Demonstrated experience identifying, assessing, and leveraging data sources to understand barriers, identify evidence and data gaps, measure outcomes, and generate insights that inform strategies to improve health outcomes in under-represented patients and communities. Proven ability to develop enterprise capabilities, frameworks, tools, measurement approaches, and scalable models that enable teams to design, implement, evaluate, and expand initiatives consistently. Demonstrated ability to work effectively across diverse functions, teams, and external stakeholders to align priorities, build consensus, and drive action. Strong influencing skills with the ability to translate data, community insights, partner learning, and patient needs into actionable strategies, implementation plans, and measurable outcomes. Desirable Criteria: Advanced degree (e.g., MPH, MBA, MHA, MSc, MD, PhD, or equivalent) in Public Health, Business, Health Policy, Healthcare Administration, Social Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline. Experience working with multi-stakeholder coalitions, collective impact initiatives, healthcare ecosystems, or cross-sector collaborations to advance health outcomes and address barriers affecting communities. Experience establishing measurement frameworks, evidence-generation approaches, learning systems, and impact evaluation methodologies to demonstrate outcomes and support scale. Benefits & Rewards The salary for this position is expected to range between $176,400 and $327,600 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
