Job Function: Enterprise Management Job Sub Function: Commercial Management Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: Singapore, Singapore Job Description: The Business Unit Lead, DePuy Synthes Singapore is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and growth of the Singapore Orthopaedics business. The role owns the end-to-end commercial strategy and execution across the DePuy Synthes portfolio, with accountability for business performance, customer engagement, market development, talent leadership, and organizational effectiveness. As the senior commercial leader for the Singapore market, the Business Unit Lead partners closely with healthcare institutions, key opinion leaders and internal cross-functional teams to advance DePuy Synthes' position as a trusted partner in orthopaedic care and innovation. The role serves as a key member of the SouthEast North Asia DePuy Synthes Leadership Team and represents the voice of the Singapore market in shaping regional strategy and priorities. REPORTING LINE This position reports to Managing Director, DS SEA & North Asia. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES Oversight role for Business Unit Manager, Sales Managers & Product Managers managing aligned accounts in a territory/cluster. Authority to direct appropriate business unit resources within the territory/cluster JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the overall DePuy Synthes Singapore business, with accountability for market growth, commercial performance, strategic execution, and organizational effectiveness across the orthopaedics portfolio. Develop and execute the Singapore business strategy, translating regional priorities into local market plans that drive sustainable growth, market leadership, and long-term customer value. Lead and align Sales and Marketing teams to deliver business objectives, optimize portfolio performance, and enhance customer engagement across the healthcare ecosystem. Build organizational capability through effective talent development, succession planning, and leadership coaching. Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with healthcare institutions, healthcare professionals, government agencies, procurement stakeholders, and industry partners to advance business and patient care outcomes. Champion innovation and adoption of commercial strategies that address evolving healthcare delivery models, customer expectations, and market access requirements. Monitor healthcare, market, and competitive trends to identify growth opportunities, shape commercial strategy, and proactively address business risks and challenges. Drive organizational excellence through effective business planning, resource allocation, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration. Develop a high-performing and inclusive team through coaching, talent development, succession planning, and leadership capability building. Represent DePuy Synthes as a trusted healthcare partner within the Singapore market and broader healthcare community. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, customer centricity, and continuous improvement while upholding the highest standards of ethics, quality, and healthcare compliance. Lead compliant business practices and nurture this behavior deep in the team REQUIREMENTS University/Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent. A Masters in Business Administration is Preferred Significant commercial leadership experience within Orthopaedics, MedTech, healthcare, medical devices or related industries. Proven track record of successfully leading and growing a business with accountability for strategic and financial outcomes. Demonstrated success leading sales & marketing or cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder environments. Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution and results. Deep understanding of healthcare systems, market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends relevant to the Singapore healthcare market. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted partnerships across healthcare institutions, professional bodies, government agencies, and internal organizations. Strong leadership capabilities with demonstrated success in talent development, organizational effectiveness, and building high-performing teams. Experience navigating change, leading transformation, and driving innovation in complex business environments. Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and executive stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated learning agility, strategic thinking, and enterprise mindset.
