Join our R&D team and contribute to the development and verification of the Phadia™ platform of automated in-vitro diagnostic instruments, supporting allergy and autoimmune diagnostics. As a Senior System Verification Engineer, you will take a hands-on role in the verification of complex laboratory instruments, working extensively with physical systems in an R&D laboratory environment. You will work across hardware, software, automation, assay and system disciplines to ensure our instruments meet system requirements and deliver reliable performance in their intended laboratory environment. What you will do • Perform hands-on system verification and testing of automated laboratory instruments in our R&D lab • Plan and execute verification activities based on system requirements and intended use • Analyze results, troubleshoot system-level issues and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to identify solutions • Document verification results and contribute to delivering robust and reliable diagnostic instruments Requirements • Advanced Degree plus 3 years of relevant experience preferred, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience preferred in system verification, testing, systems engineering, integration, or development of complex instruments or automated systems • Preferred Fields of Study: Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems or Mechatronics Engineering, Physics, or related technical field • Experience with hands-on testing and verification of physical instruments, equipment or automated systems in a laboratory or engineering environment • Experience developing and executing system-level verification strategies, test methods and procedures, including requirements-based verification, traceability and acceptance criteria • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in system integration, troubleshooting, root-cause investigation and analysis of system performance and test data • Ability to understand and verify interactions between hardware, software, automation and system workflows in complex instrumentation • Strong cross-functional collaboration, technical documentation and communication skills, with a focus on product quality, reliability and customer needs • Proficient English language skills Desired skills • Experience with IVD, medical devices, laboratory automation, diagnostic instrumentation or other regulated product development environments • Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams, with the ability to independently deliver assigned verification activities while coordinating effectively with others • Experience with requirements and test management tools, defect management, risk management, design reviews or verification readiness reviews • Experience with data analysis and statistical methods for evaluation of test and system performance; experience with tools such as Excel, Python, MATLAB or equivalent is beneficial • Knowledge of relevant quality systems, design controls and standards applicable to IVD/medical device development, and experience working within structured product development processes We review applications continuously and may progress with suitable candidates as they apply, so we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible!
