Manager, CX Peer Advocacy & Community Lead

Pfizer 6 Locations Updated 22 August 2026
Pharma

Job description

At Pfizer, our purpose is breakthroughs that change patients' lives. As we modernize our employee experience, our GTM and Adoption team helps turn digital investment into real impact by understanding and removing barriers, driving high-impact engagement, and ensuring the new digital platforms we launch become embedded into how our colleagues work. The Peer Advocacy & Community Lead builds scale and grassroots momentum. Since a central team of five cannot manually support an entire global enterprise, this role decentralizes the adoption effort by transforming traditional "Champion" networks into highly active, peer-led advocacy communities, identifying and developing local advocates who carry the digital transformation directly into their business units. Build thriving, high-participation communities by uncovering barriers to engagement and designing experiences employees actively choose to join. You will leverage proven engagement models from gaming, creator, fandom, and consumer social communities to create compelling formats, incentives, and interactions that drive ongoing participation, connection, and advocacy across internal channels. This role builds organizational capability by creating scalable peer networks, facilitating knowledge sharing across business units, and helping stakeholder groups adopt new ways of working through influence and community leadership. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Community Strategy & Platform Enablement Develop a multi-channel community strategy aligned to adoption, engagement, and employee experience goals. Own and evolve the community technology stack, including Teams, Viva Engage, and emerging collaboration platforms. Regularly assess community needs and introduce new channels, tools, and engagement models as appropriate. Peer Advocacy & Champions Network Build and grow a network of influential advocates, champions, and constructive skeptics across the organization. Establish a super-user community that enables peer learning, strengthens local adoption capability, and supports knowledge sharing across business units. Strengthen advocacy through recognition, exclusive access, and direct engagement with product teams. Early Access, Beta & Labs Programs Manage beta, early-access, and labs communities from recruitment through product launch. Create structured processes for onboarding, feedback collection, bug reporting, and phased access. Transition successful participants into advocacy and champion programs that support broader rollouts. User-Generated Content & Community Growth Empower employees to share best practices, success stories, tutorials, and productivity tips. Promote peer-to-peer learning and support to create a self-sustaining community ecosystem. Drive organic participation through contributor recognition and content amplification. Community Engagement & Moderation Moderate internal communities and foster a collaborative, inclusive culture. Design recognition programs, exclusive events, and engagement opportunities that strengthen community identity. Maintain an active presence through thoughtful facilitation and member support. Innovation & Experimentation Treat engagement challenges as design opportunities and continuously test new participation models. Introduce creative formats such as competitions, gamification, debates, and community-led experiences. Retire ineffective channels and scale engagement approaches that demonstrate measurable impact. Content Strategy & Publishing Create and publish community content, including posts, discussion prompts, polls, announcements, and recaps. Own the editorial calendar and communication cadence across community channels. Ensure consistent, high-quality content that drives participation and ongoing engagement. Culture Building & Employee Experience Design experiences that connect new hires to community networks and resources. Embed peer recognition and collaboration into everyday workflows. Deliver virtual and hybrid experiences that strengthen culture across distributed teams. Community Analytics & Insights Define, track, and report community KPIs, including engagement, participation, advocacy, and content performance. Build dashboards and measurement frameworks that connect community activity to business outcomes. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Communications, Sociology, Marketing, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in community management, developer advocacy, brand ambassador management, or internal social community building. Proven ability to identify, recruit, and motivate network advocates or champions, including designing tiered or "super-user" programs. Required: hands-on experience personally writing, designing, and publishing content (posts, prompts, announcements, light video or visuals) on a regular cadence. This is not a delegate-only role; the person hired will be producing content as well. A track record of making a stale or low-engagement community come alive, with concrete examples of formats or tactics originated rather than copied from a standard internal-comms template. Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, aligning advocates, stakeholders, and product teams around shared adoption outcomes without direct authority. Experience running early-access, beta, or pilot user programs, including recruiting cohorts, managing waitlists, and capturing structured feedback. Comfort working with engagement metrics and translating community data into stakeholder-ready reporting that connects to business outcomes. Fluency with community and engagement metrics (activation, retention, DAU/MAU, content performance) and a track record of setting KPI targets, building dashboards, and making tactical decisions from the data rather than instinct. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to turn skeptics into vocal advocates. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience managing developer relations or user communities for consumer tech or enterprise platforms. Background in gaming, fandom, esports, or creator-economy communities, or other fast-moving, highly engaged online spaces outside of corporate environments. Deep understanding of enterprise social networks (Viva Engage, Teams, Slack, etc.) and experience evaluating or migrating community/collaboration tooling. Experience planning virtual or hybrid employee events and onboarding programs. Experience scaling peer-to-peer support models, including super-user or mentor structures, in large, matrixed organizations. Work Location Assignment: Hybrid
