Job Description The Future Begins Here At Takeda, we are leading digital evolution and global transformation. By building innovative solutions and future-ready capabilities, we are meeting the need of patients, our people, and the planet. Bengaluru, the city, which is India’s epicenter of Innovation, has been selected to be home to Takeda’s recently launched Innovation Capability Center. We invite you to join our digital transformation journey. In this role, you will have the opportunity to boost your skills and become the heart of an innovative engine that is contributing to global impact and improvement. At Takeda’s ICC we Unite in Diversity Takeda is committed to creating an inclusive and collaborative workplace, where individuals are recognized for their backgrounds and abilities they bring to our company. We are continuously improving our collaborators journey in Takeda, and we welcome applications from all qualified candidates. Here, you will feel welcomed, respected, and valued as an important contributor to our diverse team OBJECTIVES / PURPOSE We are seeking a Principal Analyst to serve as a dual expert in Tableau dashboarding and commercial analytics within Takeda's GCC Commercial Insights & Analytics (I&A) organization in India. This senior individual-contributor role designs, builds, and scales enterprise-grade reporting and dashboards with deep, specialized Tableau expertise, while independently leading complex commercial analytics workstreams that directly inform global brand strategy. The Principal Analyst sets both the visualization and the analytical standard for the team and acts as a technical authority and mentor for the broader analyst community. Own the design and delivery of Takeda's most complex, high-visibility reporting and dashboard products, and serve as the recognized Tableau subject-matter expert (SME) setting the visual analytics standard across global brand teams. Independently lead high-complexity commercial analytics workstreams — patient journey analyses, HCP segmentation, performance deep-dives, and competitive assessments — that provide actionable recommendations to global I&A brand leads and commercial partners. Act as a technical thought leader and mentor, elevating the reporting, visualization, and analytical capabilities of Analysts and Senior Analysts across the GCC team. ACCOUNTABILITIES Reporting & Dashboarding Excellence — Tableau Architect, build, and maintain enterprise-grade Tableau dashboards that communicate brand performance, patient journey dynamics, HCP engagement and field force activity to global stakeholders. Define, implement and enforce UI/visualization best practices and design standards (layout, color, accessibility, interactivity, storytelling) and build self-service reporting frameworks and templates that reduce ad hoc requests. Establish, standardize, and govern KPIs and metrics — brand performance, patient shares, new starts, duration of therapy (DoT), adherence, source of business, campaign effectiveness etc. — across global markets, regions and channels. Optimize data models, data extracts and refresh pipelines feeding dashboards to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance at scale. Commercial Analytics & Insight Generation Lead end-to-end delivery of the most complex performance analytics workstreams that track brand KPIs across global, regional, and country levels, setting the quality bar for the team. Integrate and analyze diverse commercial data sources across markets — real-world data (claims, EMR/EHR, lab data), specialty pharmacy, sales, and channel data — to generate comprehensive patient and HCP insights that support brand strategy and launch readiness. Drive advanced, self-directed exploratory data analysis (EDA) and opportunity prospecting — moving beyond basic pulls (counts, topline, segmentation, time trends) to surface non-obvious commercial opportunities and hypotheses that shape brand strategy. Own the most complex custom reporting and ad hoc requests with independent hypothesis formulation, rigorous methodology, and well-documented, insight-rich outputs, and guide others in doing the same. Cohort Development and Segmentation Set the standard for patient and HCP cohorts built on deterministic logic and lead advanced cohort and segmentation approaches — including cluster and probabilistic models — for sophisticated targeting, prioritization, and micro-segmentation. Perform ETL, design and orchestrate reproducible data pipelines feeding reporting products, and automate recurring workflows using SQL, Python or R, API programming, and GenAI tools (e.g., Claude Code) as a coding partner. Stakeholder Leadership & Mentorship Partner with GCC Managers and global I&A brand leads to clarify requirements, align on scope, and synthesize findings into decision-oriented visual stories with clear “so what” recommendations. Formally mentor Analysts and Senior Analysts on Tableau, visualization design, and analytical methods, and lead team knowledge management (design patterns, reusable templates and query libraries). KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Education: Bachelor's Degree required in Statistics, Data Science, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field; Master's degree or MBA strongly preferred. Experience: 5–6 years of progressive quantitative analytical experience in pharmaceutical commercial analytics or healthcare analytics, with a significant portion focused on both commercial analytics and reporting, BI, and data visualization. Expert-level, hands-on Tableau experience (Tableau Desktop and Server/Cloud) building and governing enterprise-scale dashboards is required; Tableau certification is a strong plus. Working knowledge of Power BI is a plus. Deep working knowledge of pharma commercial datasets across markets: patient-level claims (e.g., IQVIA, Komodo Health, Symphony Health), specialty pharmacy, EMR, and sales data is required. Hands-on experience with data beyond claims is strongly preferred — lab data, EMR/EHR, medical and regulatory coding systems (e.g., ICD, procedure/reimbursement codes), public datasets, and research literature (Citeline, PubMed). Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, or Python for data manipulation and workflow automation; advanced Excel required. Familiarity with API programming and GenAI (e.g., Claude Code) as a coding partner; working knowledge of Databricks or cloud platforms preferred. Experience supporting global or regional brand teams or cross-functional analytics programs is strongly preferred. Skills & Competencies: Tableau Mastery & Reporting Architecture — Expert Tableau design, development, performance optimization, and Server/Cloud governance; sets visualization and self-service reporting standards. Data Visualization & Storytelling — Applies advanced visualization and storytelling principles — layout, color, accessibility, and
