A Day in the Life The Senior Manufacturing Supervisor will provide leadership for a high-performing manufacturing team at Medtronic's Rice Creek campus in Fridley, Minnesota, one of the company's largest operational and innovation hubs. This leader will be responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while ensuring manufacturing operations consistently meet business objectives and patient needs. The role partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to support the production of life-changing medical technologies that impact patients around the world. As a key member of the site leadership team, the Senior Manufacturing Supervisor will lead and develop manufacturing supervisors and employees, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and drive operational excellence across the value stream. This position requires a strong focus on people leadership, execution, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize manufacturing performance, build organizational capability, and support Medtronic's mission of alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software, Effective Communication Skills. Functional Skills: Machining and Manufacturing Technologies, Proficient computer skills, Data Science and Analysis, Lean Manufacturing and continued improvement, Managing Quality. Required Qualifications Requires 3+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading manufacturing employees, supervisors, or team leads in a production environment. Experience supporting or leading Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement projects. Experience working within a regulated industry such as medical device , pharmaceutical , aerospace, automotive, or similar. Experience partnering with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning, or Operations functions to achieve business objectives . Experience managing manufacturing performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, or cost. Experience supporting new product introductions, product transfers, capacity expansions, or process improvement initiatives. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
