Job Description Summary At STEMCELL Technologies, a globally recognized provider for the life sciences, we’re working to develop innovative products to support critical research in the fields of immunology, cell therapy, and biotechnology. We are looking for Research Associates to join our Research and Development (R&D) teams! As a Research Associate, you will work closely with researchers to test, develop, and improve upon new and existing STEMCELL products. You will perform and troubleshoot laboratory experiments, analyze and communicate experimental results, contribute to technical documentation and experimental design, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the R&D laboratory. Please note, there are six positions across our neuroscience, immunology, hematopoiesis, protein science, and product evaluation teams. Job Description Duties and Responsibilities Perform and troubleshoot experiments, calculating and analyzing data while identifying any abnormal or unexpected trends, and accurately document and summarize experimental observations Validate new products, product components, and technologies related to assigned projects Present data at R&D meetings, providing conclusions and future plans as directed by the supervisor Contribute to ongoing maintenance and operations of the laboratory, including lab cleaning, equipment maintenance, inventory ordering, waste disposal, and lab skills training, whilst adhering to laboratory standards and practises May provide technical support and training on product use and protocols within R&D and other departments Knowledge and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences with up to 2 years of relevant experience Experience performing high quality, reproducible laboratory experiments; cell culture or flow cytometry experience considered an asset Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in one-on-one and group settings Experience performing statistical analyses and interpreting experimental data with guidance #LI-KM1 #LI-Onsite #Bench STEMCELL Technologies is a privately owned, Vancouver-based biotechnology company that helps power leading-edge life science research around the world. The annual salary for this job ranges from: STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization.
