About the Role: Procurement & Stores Team Leader is primarily responsible for Procurement and Stores functions, managing a small team of Procurement and stores officers. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Team leader will organize a safe and efficient processes in Procurement and stores including Inventory, E&O, DOS management, MRP demand review, PO issuing, vendor management, goods receipting, storage and dispatch of inventory, goods and products to feed manufacturing operations and customer demand, along with general administration, and management and leadership of team members. What You'll Do: Lead and manage the procurement team in managing inventory, E&O, DOS, MRP demand, PO issuing and vendor management. Lead and manage stores team in managing inventory operations, goods receiving, manufacturing order picking, spares packing, goods loading and unloading, cycle counting and stock take. Drive the core company values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, Involvement; the 4-I’s. Training new joiners and monitoring performance during training and probation Supporting team performance by undertaking activity as required covering other team roles during absence or during peaks in demand Act as escalation contact and trouble shooter in case of operational issues in the Procurement & Stores Initiate, lead and support improvement initiatives Support and deputize for the Supply Chain Manager (as appropriate) and ensure Procurement & Stores team runs smoothly Education Tertiary qualification in supply chain /logistics Experience Proven experience in Procurement and Stores function with a good understanding of the respective processes Experience in vendor management, MRP and purchase order process Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Good command of INFOR XA MRP Good understanding of Inventory Management, E&O and DOS management Strong leadership skills with ability to manage cross-functional teams Physical Requirements / Work Environment Onsite, office & warehouse.
