Job Summary: Perform qualification, calibration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of analytical and process instrumentation used in the laboratory. Support the reliable and compliant operation of laboratory equipment, with an emphasis on HPLC systems and the liquid chromatography components of LC-MS instrumentation. What You'll Be Doing: Install and qualify new laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and associated control software according to standard operating procedures Perform scheduled and unscheduled calibration, verification, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of analytical instruments Maintain equipment life cycle documentation, calibration records, preventative maintenance programs, inventories, and supporting databases Troubleshoot HPLC systems and the liquid chromatography components of LC-MS instrumentation to minimize equipment downtime Coordinate vendor installation, qualification, maintenance, repair, and instrument software validation activities Create and maintain instrumentation and metrology SOPs, risk assessments, and gap analyses Support quality investigations, corrective and preventative actions, audits, business continuity activities, and functional metrics Train employees on standard equipment usage and provide technical guidance to junior staff and remote facilities What We Are Looking For: Associate's Degree in electronics or mechanical technology or closely related field required 1 year experience in a laboratory environment Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting HPLC systems and the liquid chromatography components of LC-MS instrumentation Hands-on experience calibrating, verifying, maintaining, and repairing laboratory measuring and test equipment Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role: Strong attention to detail and accuracy when completing regulated documentation and technical work Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with coworkers, managers, clients, IT teams, contractors, and vendors Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and support quality, safety, and Six Sigma initiatives What We Offer You: We put our employees at the center of everything we do and are committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
