About This Role: As a BI Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in building and supporting the US Commercial data enablement, self-service analytics, and reporting capability as part of the US Data Strategy for the US Commercial Organization. You will be a crucial member of the US Data team, helping turn complex commercial data assets into reliable, reusable , and analytics-ready data products that support decision-making across the Alzheimer's disease therapeutic area and broader US organization. Your primary focus will be to build and maintain trusted tables, views, joins, business metrics, and data quality checks in Snowflake, while enabling downstream analytics, Power BI reporting, and AI-assisted analysis. In this position, you will partner closely with internal analytics stakeholders, IT, Finance, CE&O, Marketing, Field Excellence, and other cross-functional teams to translate business questions into scalable data solutions. You will also help validate SQL queries and analytical logic, including queries accelerated through tools such as Claude or Copilot, ensuring that outputs are accurate, explainable, and aligned to business definitions. This role is key to strengthening the data foundation that enables self-service analytics, performance reporting, and commercial insights across the organization. What You’ll Do: Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs, analytical use cases, and data requirements across US Commercial functions. Translate complex business questions into analytics-ready datasets, reusable tables, views, and reporting frameworks. Build and maintain logical datasets in Snowflake, including joins across commercial data sources such as claims, sales, marketing, field activity, customer, engagement, and other relevant datasets. Create, document, and maintain business-defined metrics, KPI logic, filters, and calculations to ensure consistent use across analytics and reporting products. Develop and validate SQL queries, data transformations, and analytical logic to support recurring reporting, ad hoc analysis, and self-service analytics. Review and validate queries generated or accelerated through AI tools such as Claude or Copilot, ensuring joins , filters, assumptions, and outputs are accurate and explainable. Design and implement data quality checks, reconciliation routines, and QA processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of commercial data assets. Partner with IT and data engineering teams on data integration, data modeling, and scalable data architecture efforts across multiple systems. Enable self-service analytics by creating trusted, well-documented datasets and semantic layers that analysts and business users can confidently use. Develop and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards as a downstream consumption layer for trusted data products and business metrics. Design and maintain methodology, data lineage, metric definitions, and project documentation. Conduct unit testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for data, reporting, and query-related issues. Conduct training or knowledge-sharing sessions to help analytics and business users understand available datasets, metrics, and self-service tools. Perform additional duties as assigned. Who You Are: You are a hands-on data and analytics engineering professional who enjoys working directly with complex datasets, building reliable data assets, and enabling others to use data with confidence. You are comfortable moving beyond dashboards to understand how data is sourced, joined, transformed, validated, and translated into business metrics. You bring strong SQL skills, attention to detail, and a practical understanding of how commercial analytics teams use data to answer business questions. You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into scalable data solutions and explaining data logic clearly. You are curious, self-driven, and quality-oriented, with a strong commitment to improving data accessibility, consistency, and trust across the organization. Required Skills: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a business, science, technology, engineering, analytics, or data-related field. 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, data enablement, data management, or related data roles. Strong proficiency writing, debugging, optimizing, and validating SQL queries, preferably in Snowflake. Experience building analytics-ready tables, views, joins, data models, DataMarts , or semantic layers that support reporting and analysis. Experience creating and maintaining business metrics, KPI definitions, data quality checks, and documentation. Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data transformation logic, and modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake. Additional Employment Conditions This role is in hybrid model of work.
