Data Value Lead (all genders)

At Evotec’s site in Göttingen, Germany, we are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Data Value Lead (all genders) Permanent and full time to drive Evotec’s scientific data strategy and vision. In this role, you will focus on maximizing the value of scientific data, enabling data-driven innovation, and ensuring that data is managed, governed, and structured to support advanced in silico applications and AI-driven approaches. Responsibilities Maintain and drive Evotec’s scientific data strategy and vision Act as the interface into R&D IT regarding data-related topics Define scientific data governance, including FAIR principles, to enable the efficient re-use of client and R&D data for novel applications Act as the interface to Legal regarding data-related topics such as data storage and access Drive data value realization and use-case enablement through the in silico functions Support data economics and investment decisions Ensure AI-readiness of Evotec’s scientific data models Qualifications M.Sc. or PhD in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field Experience in data handling, data management, or similar areas Business-oriented thinking towards efficient data infrastructure and value generation Strategic approach to data management and value creation Scientific and in silico domain knowledge with a solid understanding of computational biology and chemistry, data-centric workflows, and general wet-lab experiments throughout Evotec Demonstrated strategic ownership of data as an asset Applied experience in data management and architecture design Deep understanding of how data should be structured for AI/ML applications Proven track record of data initiatives that led to better, faster, or more cost-efficient approaches Our Offer A position within a vigorous and exciting professional environment promoted by an open culture and a spirit of community A diverse, international workforce with a dynamic working environment that fosters creativity, innovations and teamwork 30 days of annual holiday, monthly allowance for public transportation, and in-house canteen Capital forming benefits, flexible working hours, holiday pay, and annual bonus depending on performance To apply, please click on the “Apply” button and provide your application documents (CV and cover letter, including earliest possible start date and salary requirements).
