The Life Science Chemical Analysis department is a multifaceted and high-achieving sales team with an exciting opportunity where we are searching for an upbeat and committed candidate to help us grow our multi- billion-dollar business and outpace market growth. Role overview We are currently looking for an Inside Sales Representative for Automation Consumables to join the European Inside Sales Team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales for automation consumables in a defined territory primarily through outbound and inbound sales activities via telephone, email and other digital methods. I n this function y ou will closely work together with the Automation Sales Specialists in EMEA. In this critical role you will leverage your sales skills and knowledge of the life science and chemical analysis markets to achieve success. Responsibilities include but not limited Meet sales objectives by driving inside and online sales opportunities for automation consumables. You will provide quota tion s, interpret customer needs, and proactively act to meet those needs Develop and maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end user contacts within assigned territory Handle your own sales funnel using your own initiative to identify business opportunities by taking a proactive, creative approach. Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives . Provide accurate forecast sales and maintain CRM up to date Actively generate business opportunities for growth and represent Agilent in all sales activities working with the field staff. In addition, retain and grow the existing customers Work effectively with cross-functional team and internal resources Work closely with Product Managers and logistics team to make sure the stock and supply chain is meeting customer needs Work with Product Specialists to target new applications / develop customer workflows Solve non-routine issues and problems within field of specialization and create and maintain effective customer relationships Manage pricing within territory to optimize profitability. Qualifications University degree within the science field - e.g. Biochemistry, biology, chemistry, biotechnology or similar. Have relevant experience in analytical techniques in a similar position or as an end user, preferable on automation and/or liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry in Life Sciences applications (proteomics, biopharma, pharma, metabolomics). Experience in Sales is required Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is essential. Other languages at proficiency level are a plus Apart from these more technical skills, you should also have: excellent interpersonal and communication skills ability to organize and prioritize your workload effectively cooperative and proactive approach to problem-solving ability to both work independently as well as within teams the ability to understand customer requirements and balance customer expectations with Agilent's business needs . strong desire to learn and expand your technical and soft skills that will ultimately drive your success.
