The Opportunity: Executes day-to-day lab operations & support objectives at customer facilities, following a varied set of procedures, focused on minimizing laboratory workflow interruptions. Problems and issues are typically less concrete and frequently changing, and are solved by applying experience from comparable situations in the past and/or selecting solutions within known alternatives. Tasks include end-to-end management of gas cylinders and liquid tanks, dry ice, and instrument buffers, solvents and liquid nitrogen, and supporting quality control workflows by executing sampling. Collects, documents, and organizes data and observations. Communicates activity records, service level metrics and other information requiring explanation or interpretation to team members, supervisors or customers. Job Type: Full‑Time Department: Laboratory Operations (LPS) Location: Queluz de Baixo (Lisbon area), Portugal We are looking for a Chemical Analyst / Onsite Specialist I to support day‑to‑day laboratory operations on‑site at Recipharm in Queluz de Baixo , a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing partner located in the Lisbon area. This is a hands‑on, customer‑embedded role focused on ensuring smooth laboratory workflows, operational continuity, and compliance with quality and safety standards in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Support daily laboratory operations at the Recipharm site in Queluz de Baixo, in line with established SOPs Proactively minimize laboratory workflow interruptions through operational and technical support Perform routine chemical or biological testing and support quality control activities, including sampling Perform analytical testing using chromatographic techniques (e.g. HPLC and/or GC) Manage laboratory consumables and utilities, including gas cylinders, liquid tanks, dry ice, buffers, solvents, and liquid nitrogen Collect, document, and organize laboratory data and observations Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records Communicate operational updates, activity records, and service metrics to internal teams and Recipharm stakeholders Support routine troubleshooting and resolution of day‑to‑day laboratory issues Requirements High school diploma or GED required; degree in a scientific discipline preferred 3–5 years of experience in a laboratory, QC, or regulated operational environment Experience working in pharmaceutical or manufacturing‑adjacent laboratories is an advantage Familiarity with laboratory consumables, utilities, and equipment Experience with HPLC and/or GC is a plus Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently in a customer‑facing, on‑site role Benefits 20 days of annual leave in the first year, 22 days in subsequent years (+ up to 3 additional days based on attendance) 3 bridge days per year Free meals provided in the on‑site canteen Company‑funded health insurance for the employee and family Company‑funded life insurance Why Join This Role Work directly on‑site at Recipharm in Queluz de Baixo (Lisbon area) Be part of a dedicated LPS team embedded with the customer Gain exposure to laboratory operations, QC workflows, and customer collaboration Stable, long‑term position aligned with an ongoing service contract Interested in supporting laboratory operations at a leading pharmaceutical customer site?
