Position Summary Thermo Fisher Scientific’s BioProcess Equipment & Automation (BEA) Business Unit is a global leader in single-use technologies for biomanufacturing. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Manager of Project Execution to lead a team of Project Managers responsible for the successful execution of complex customer projects. This role is ideal for an experienced people leader with a strong background in project management, cross-functional execution, and operational excellence. The Sr. Manager will oversee the end-to-end delivery of coordinated bioprocessing equipment and automation projects, ensuring customer satisfaction, predictable execution, on-time and on-budget delivery, and revenue recognition. This leader will develop project management talent, drive standard processes, remove execution barriers, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering complex hardware and controls projects on time, within budget, and to customer expectations. Provide day-to-day leadership, prioritization, and escalation support to ensure successful execution across the project portfolio. Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Commercial, and Logistics to drive alignment and customer success. Monitor project health through key performance indicators (lead times, delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and financial performance) and drive continuous improvement (PPI). Support forecasting, revenue recognition, resource planning, and project reviews to ensure predictable business performance. Drive standardization of project management tools, processes, governance, and best practices across the team. Develop project management talent through coaching, performance management, and career development. Champion change management initiatives that improve execution efficiency, customer experience, and organizational effectiveness. Escalate and resolve complex project risks while maintaining strong customer relationships. Experience 8&#43; years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional customer projects; or equivalent. 4&#43; years of people leadership experience. Strong customer orientation with experience working directly with clients and commercial teams. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve project risks, and influence cross-functional stakeholders. Experience driving process improvements and operational excellence initiatives. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong project execution and organizational leadership skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities. Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to manage project performance metrics. Ability to prioritize effectively, navigate ambiguity, and make timely decisions. Proven coaching and talent development skills. Education Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or business field required. PMP certification or equivalent project management training preferred. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
