As an Indirect Materials Buyer , you will help secure the materials and services that enable business success, while building strong supplier partnerships and driving value across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your procurement expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your contributions directly support operational performance. What You Will Do Execute purchasing activities for indirect categories, including maintenance, repair and operations supplies, facility materials, tooling, safety equipment, and general services. Support sourcing projects by preparing and managing requests for quotation, conducting supplier evaluations, and participating in negotiations. Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, delivery performance, and compliance with business requirements. Coordinate supplier onboarding activities and maintain accurate procurement documentation and records. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business needs, define purchasing requirements, and prioritize procurement activities. Monitor supplier performance and support corrective actions to address service or delivery issues. Track procurement metrics and contribute to cost management initiatives that support operational objectives. Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, compliance, and procurement effectiveness. What You Will Need Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing operations. Professional proficiency in written and spoken English. Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management practices. Experience using SAP, SAP Ariba, or similar procurement systems. Experience in a manufacturing or other fast-paced operational environment. Experience within a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or aerospace. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for incentive compensation (such as bonus and/or commissions where applicable), along with Stryker’s comprehensive benefits package.
